Looking back at each decade, I feel both ‘older’ and ‘younger’, I see the change in my features, the change in my way of life, the change in my personality and the experience itched on my face. I am grateful for the life I have lived thus far and excited for the life I am yet to live.

2026 - 39, (Home, England), I am ready for this final year before my 40s but also ready for this next decade.
2016 - 29, (Oslo, Norway), this decade was about self discovery and building the life I dreamt about. The life that I am super proud of and truly grateful to be living. This decade, I built my financial life and in later years choose to heal from the trauma gained in the last decade and now I feel well equipped for the future.
2006 - 19, (Glasgow, Scotland), I thought I was grown (look at the cheekbones 🤣🤣) and ready for the world, chiiiild was I wrong, let’s just say, I am still resolving the trauma the decade brought me but I am grateful because I met my best friends and made decisions for the future I wanted to have. (Spoiler alert - I did better than I dreamed).
1996 - 9, (Home, Zambia) this was my birthday but my little sister insisted she had to be the one in the middle. The only way we knew whose birthday it was, was by standing in the middle but this year I remember baby sister crying her eyes out and refusing 🤨
1988 - 9 months, (Chililabombwe, Zambia) although my mother looks tired and traumatised😟, I know I was loved and happy.

Love Me Beauty Box ~ December 2014

DSCF2699

I received this box in December 2014 but  just never had to time to open it and try out the products but now I have and I am ready to review. My first impression of the December box was not good mainly because these items were picked for me and apart from the eye shadow brush I was not impressed with any of the other items but now that I have had a chance to use them let me share my thoughts on each one.

Ecotools eyeshadow brush ~ This brush is very gentle on the skin, it aids the smooth gliding of the eye shadow and what I love most is it does not shade. It is very light and such great size for an eyeshadow brush, I may not be a makeup guru but this brush is second to none I think its even better than my real technique brushes.

ecotools full eye shadow brush

Jemma Kid i-tech Liquid liner ~ I have not used this product much to give it a fair review but I what I have seen so far has been great. I love that it’s quick dry and that it lasts all day when applied. The colour is shimmering brown and has slight glow to it making it a must have liner.

L’Oreal Paris Code Luminize ~ I have used this product fair amount and I still have enough in the small container, it is white in colour and has a lovely smell. This illuminating cream has been a great addition to my everyday makeup routine.

MaXfactor Xperience weightless foundation ~ To start off this is not my shade of foundation, I applied a small amount and I looked like a ghost. I should credit it that it only needs a small amount for great coverage but it is too light for me and I may have managed to sweat through it.

Of all these product, the ecotools full eye shadow brush is my favourite product. I love it more knowing how beautifully soft and smooth it is and that it is made from bamboo and recycled materials.

I have never heard of this particular subscription box company, but it sounds like they provide wonderful goodies! Much as I love liquid eyeliner, I’d probably love the Jemma Kid i-tech Liquid line.

I have not heard of the company, but I do love subscription boxes. I would have been peeved to have a foundation that was too light for me.

I’d love to try that weightless foundation. My biggest beef with makeup is foundation that’s too heavy. Almost ALL of them are too heavy for my taste.
