Happy 1st December, Can you believe that it’s exactly 25 days until Christmas? I can honestly say I am so nervous because well, I have not yet done any shopping or even picked presents for my family. I was telling myself last month how I should write a list of people I will be giving cards to and also think of presents for my family but since I am a procrastinator I lived up to my name and thought of it but never actually did anything. I am thinking of writing up today once I finish this post but no one knows what I will be doing at the end of this post. Anyway enough of that, to kick start-off the month of December I wanted to share with you my new red nail polish. I have a confession to make, I went to the salon to do my nails. I had them clean and painted, I know I have always said I am not willing to spend £25+ on nails but its been over a year since I last went and I wanted to treat myself somehow so got my nails done professionally and unfortunately can not remember the name of the nail polish but its OPI and I love how it turned out.
Now that we have covered the manicure monday part of this post I also wanted to talk about a charity close to my heart that I am happy to talk about especially now that we in December (though it should not really be limited to December but throughout the year). The charity is called send a cow and it specialises in helping poverty stricken families in seven African countries, being an African obviously this speaks to me on a personal level. The charity has been around for a long time and this year is the 13th time they are producing a Christmas catalogue and this year they want to sell 20,000 gifts which then help support different families in Africa.
Replacing the traditional jumper pattern of snowmen or crackers, this udderly stylish Christmas jumper has been created to showcase the charity’s latest altruistic Christmas gifts catalogue, and was custom-knit with maximum comfort and fit in mind for the fashion-conscious cow.
Send a Cow’s Christmas catalogue contains gifts that make a difference to poverty-stricken families in seven African countries. Gifts range from ‘Local Cow’ (£205), which provides a farming family with milk and manure; ‘Little Donkey’ (£9) which helps families take good care of their four-legged friends who transport farm produce to market; and ‘Tip Tap’ (£10), a bestseller which improves hygiene levels in areas where soap and water are luxuries.
About Send a Cow
Send a Cow was started by West Country farmers 25 years ago and in that time has transformed the lives of over one million people. Send a Cow works hand-in-hand with families in Africa, teaching them the skills they need to build lives free from poverty and hunger. By providing training, livestock, seeds and support, the charity helps create stronger communities for the future.
Send a Cow works with poor families in seven African countries, providing practical farming assistance that will last for generations to come and supporting families through every step of their journey out of poverty.
