Looking back at each decade, I feel both ‘older’ and ‘younger’, I see the change in my features, the change in my way of life, the change in my personality and the experience itched on my face. I am grateful for the life I have lived thus far and excited for the life I am yet to live.

2026 - 39, (Home, England), I am ready for this final year before my 40s but also ready for this next decade.
2016 - 29, (Oslo, Norway), this decade was about self discovery and building the life I dreamt about. The life that I am super proud of and truly grateful to be living. This decade, I built my financial life and in later years choose to heal from the trauma gained in the last decade and now I feel well equipped for the future.
2006 - 19, (Glasgow, Scotland), I thought I was grown (look at the cheekbones 🤣🤣) and ready for the world, chiiiild was I wrong, let’s just say, I am still resolving the trauma the decade brought me but I am grateful because I met my best friends and made decisions for the future I wanted to have. (Spoiler alert - I did better than I dreamed).
1996 - 9, (Home, Zambia) this was my birthday but my little sister insisted she had to be the one in the middle. The only way we knew whose birthday it was, was by standing in the middle but this year I remember baby sister crying her eyes out and refusing 🤨
1988 - 9 months, (Chililabombwe, Zambia) although my mother looks tired and traumatised😟, I know I was loved and happy.

Monday Currently ~ Manicure Monday x

20140517-235446.jpg

Hi there! Welcome to Monday Currently series, in the series today I am showing off my new manicure Monday and Nail polish. I did this myself and I know it ain’t too pretty but I still love it. The nail polish is Nude Pink which I got from my latest love me beauty box (see Wednesday’s post) May edition option 2. I am in love with the colour it’s so bright, though I am not girly girl I really love it and I am wearing it for 2nd time already.

This nail polish is by Nail Girls and love me beauty card describes it as;

An elegant nude with a hint of soft, sheet baby pink. A shade of style, sophistication and class

I must say I agree with the statement, the nail polish is just so pretty. So what are the pros and cons of this nail polish?

20140517-235430.jpg

Pros – it’s really beautiful and does what it says on the tin.
Cons – I personally needed 3-4 coats to get that perfect pink shade I was looking for and also it took almost 45 minutes to really dry properly.
Recommendation: I would recommend it but have a base and top coat which I do not have. I would buy it again because it lasted me over 7 days.

Have you ever bought Nail Girls mail polishes before? How long do you keep or consider a nail polish good for? I think if it stays longer than a week then it’s good for me because I constantly wash my hands so I need a sticker than anything else.

Thanks for reading my blog  and see you in my next manicure monday x

I am too impatient to wait for nail polish to dry…which is probably why I never paint my nails…either that or the fact that I am a habitual nail biter. Either way, that color is perfection!

Namesake I was busy moving up and down and was annoyed when they took that long to dry but only cause I put really thick coat and no base or top coat x

Very pretty color, but I am not sure I could wait 45 minutes for dry nails! After 5 minutes I feel like I need to get moving again haha

That is a super pretty color! I have never heard of that brand before. I gave my nails a new paint job Saturday night and mine will normally last a week or so, but I too am constantly having my hands in water or smacking them off of something. I generally use a hard as nails base coat for strength and an instant dry top coat, because I do good to get an hour to paint them let alone let them dry. Happy Monday! 🙂
