Looking back at each decade, I feel both ‘older’ and ‘younger’, I see the change in my features, the change in my way of life, the change in my personality and the experience itched on my face. I am grateful for the life I have lived thus far and excited for the life I am yet to live.

2026 - 39, (Home, England), I am ready for this final year before my 40s but also ready for this next decade.
2016 - 29, (Oslo, Norway), this decade was about self discovery and building the life I dreamt about. The life that I am super proud of and truly grateful to be living. This decade, I built my financial life and in later years choose to heal from the trauma gained in the last decade and now I feel well equipped for the future.
2006 - 19, (Glasgow, Scotland), I thought I was grown (look at the cheekbones 🤣🤣) and ready for the world, chiiiild was I wrong, let’s just say, I am still resolving the trauma the decade brought me but I am grateful because I met my best friends and made decisions for the future I wanted to have. (Spoiler alert - I did better than I dreamed).
1996 - 9, (Home, Zambia) this was my birthday but my little sister insisted she had to be the one in the middle. The only way we knew whose birthday it was, was by standing in the middle but this year I remember baby sister crying her eyes out and refusing 🤨
1988 - 9 months, (Chililabombwe, Zambia) although my mother looks tired and traumatised😟, I know I was loved and happy.

{Review} I nibble at work ~ Nib nibbs

Nib nibs

Last month I talked about my health habits and how health isn’t just for January, after reading the article I referenced in my last health post on this blog  A July Dreamer I realised that though I have drastically changed my lifestyle in terms of eating clean I am still lacking in my snacking department (& other areas could do with some improvements but that’s subject for another year). I am not one to snack on fruits all the time, don’t get me wrong I love fruits but the acidity some have and damage can do to my teeth doesn’t scream eat me all the time. I need change and I need variety, this is where nib nibs of Yorkshire come in.

I was recently offered a chance to try out the nib nibs and I couldn’t be happier. I have always said I am not a cheese person though not allergic I just some how don’t like eating cheese or even snacking on cheese itself but I love it when it’s concealed in something.

DSCF2178 DSCF2174Nib nibs are hand made Premium baked nibbles with a locally produced story behind them, wrapped up in a confident, memorable big brand image. I was sent four (4) flavours of mininibs to try out: Exceptional Cheddar Cheese (110g) Exceptional Cheddar Cheese; Cheddar & Spicy Chilli and Cheddar & Cheeky Onion Straws in an ideal carry size can of 65g. I love the names, the size and love the deliciousness of these cheese snacks as well as the provision of nutritional information clearly on the packs. It’s no wonder they were voted ‘great taste of 2013’, the greatest thing about them for me is the taste, easy to pack in my bag, the containers protects the contents and I love that they are suitable for vegetarians.

Of the four nib nibs I have had the pleasure to try I must say the Exceptional Cheddar Cheese straws and the Exceptional Cheddar & Spicy chilli straws flavours are my favourite. I love chilli foods I am sure you are aware of my fondness for chilli beef which I make regularly and share heavily on my Instagram. Anyway I digress, these two favourites of mine have really left an impression on me and I couldn’t stop talking about them at work. I know they are cheesy snacks but the cheese is not too in your face so those like me who don’t particularly like the taste of cheese but enjoy when concealed in other foods this is for you as well as the cheese lovers. You will enjoy these finger licking treats which I am definitely stocking up on these for all the traveling I will be doing this Christmas.

The wonderful people at Nib nibs wanted to make sure that one of you my lovely readers got a chance to taste and enjoy the snacks like me so they are offering you a selection of nib nibs to try out. Enter the raffle widget below for a chance to win a selection of these nibs, the competition is open to the UK only and products will be shipped by the people at nib nibs UK.
