Looking back at each decade, I feel both ‘older’ and ‘younger’, I see the change in my features, the change in my way of life, the change in my personality and the experience itched on my face. I am grateful for the life I have lived thus far and excited for the life I am yet to live.
••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••

2026 - 39, (Home, England), I am ready for this final year before my 40s but also ready for this next decade.
2016 - 29, (Oslo, Norway), this decade was about self discovery and building the life I dreamt about. The life that I am super proud of and truly grateful to be living. This decade, I built my financial life and in later years choose to heal from the trauma gained in the last decade and now I feel well equipped for the future.
2006 - 19, (Glasgow, Scotland), I thought I was grown (look at the cheekbones 🤣🤣) and ready for the world, chiiiild was I wrong, let’s just say, I am still resolving the trauma the decade brought me but I am grateful because I met my best friends and made decisions for the future I wanted to have. (Spoiler alert - I did better than I dreamed).
1996 - 9, (Home, Zambia) this was my birthday but my little sister insisted she had to be the one in the middle. The only way we knew whose birthday it was, was by standing in the middle but this year I remember baby sister crying her eyes out and refusing 🤨
1988 - 9 months, (Chililabombwe, Zambia) although my mother looks tired and traumatised😟, I know I was loved and happy.

Pool Toys of the Rich and Famous

In the age of Instagram and Snapchat, swimming pool toys have emerged as one of the hottest lifestyle accessories around. And it’s not just limited to the non-famous – even celebrities are getting in on the act. So, if you’re wondering what swimming pool ride-ons and pool toys that your favourite celebrities are floating on these days, wonder no more and check out these eight cool pool inflatables below.

pool toys

  • Emily Ratajkowski

Ratajkowski, who burst into mainstream consciousness following her topless appearance in Robin Thicke’s music video for his chart-topping single Blurred Lines, starts of our list with a giant inflatable dragon pool float. Measuring eight feet and seven inches long, the dragon float’s popularity probably has something to do with HBO’s popular show, Game of Thrones. Available from £32

  • Reese Witherspoon

41-year-old Oscar-winning actress Reese Witherspoon has always been known for her fashionable style, so it comes as no shock to see her jumping on the pool toy trend. She tweeted back in 2016 with an image showing the mother-of-three pushing a gigantic 10-foot beach ball into the pool.  Available from £129.99

  • Justin Bieber

The Baby hit maker went through a few years of controversy as he struggled to grow up under the harsh public limelight. These days though, the star seems to have mellowed down a lot, and looks quite comfortable relaxing on an inflatable strawberry frosted donut rubber ring. Available from £9.99

  • Victoria Beckham

The Spice Girls may be old news now (aside from the odd reunion concert), but Victoria Beckham has been able to stay in the limelight consistently for almost two decades. From her fashion line to strategic event appearances, Posh Spice has a natural sense of the inner workings of the press. So it came as no surprise when she appeared with a giant inflatable swan, to join the ranks of the swan brigade which includes the likes of Taylor Swift, Vanessa Hudgens and Emmy Rossum. And it’s adorable how she has a name for her swan – Nancy! Available from £19.99

  • Diane Kruger

I guess we should have expected this, considering how frequently Kruger has acted in oddball indie roles. A few summers ago, German beauty lovingly held her inflatable poop emoji float, certainly showing off her quirky side.  Available from £24.99

  • Nicki Minaj

The Trinidadian-born pop star looks fashionably pensive lying on her giant watermelon float. She’s probably concerned about the inflatable crocodile which is just inches away.  Available from £19.99

  • January Jones

To many, Jones was one of the most memorable characters on Mad Men, which in turn, is one of the most memorable shows of all time. And Jones continues her memorable streak by riding, or rather, struggling to get on, a bull float in her pool. It’s still a heck of a lot safer than riding a real-life rodeo! Available from £32

  • Jenna Dewan Tatum

Mrs. Channing Tatum has always had a fascination with unicorns; the mother of one even dressed up as one, complete with a glittering horn. So, no prizes for guessing what her pool float might be – yes, it’s a unicorn. Available from £10.99

I love pool toys, always had as a child but I find I still like them now as an adult. My little one loves to swim and we will be getting some pool floats once we start going swimming again.

You got to love a pool inflatable, they are so much fun. My favourite would have to be the dragon, she is very fabulous. Not quite sure Reese can justify the cost of her rather large beach ball!

ha, I love this post. I really want a unicorn inflatable, but can’t seem to justify it taking up my luggage space when I go abroad haha
