Recently, I went on a Prague Group Trip thanks to #traveleatslay who organised then entire shindig. As a solo traveller, I sometimes long for company, its the main reason why I opted to join in on a group day trip to Prague. During the Prague Group Trip, I enjoyed an amazing experience traveling with
There is an African proverb that reads, “if you want to go fast, go alone if you want to far go together”. This proverb resonates with me because I am a fast traveller alone but in a group I know I can enjoy the experience more sharing with others. Though I enjoyed the trip, I definitely know it’s something I can only do in moderation.

Group trips are definitely something I recommend to other solo travellers to try at least once. I was able to learn a few lessons during my previous trips and more so the more recent trip. One of the major lessons I learned is just how much I enjoy travelling alone at my own pace.
Prague Group Trip with #traveleatslay
Prague is a city I have visited numerous times and has become a city I now visit yearly because I love it. Its also a city I consider to be overrated and overwhelming and I have my reasons for saying that. Popular tourist destinations are no longer special places to make memories on because they are overcrowded.
Our recent trip to Prague, however, did teach me new things that in all the 3 years of visiting I hadn’t done before. Our trip organiser Caroline of #traveleatslay organised a relaxed itinerary for our day trip to Prague. Whenever I have visited Prague, it has always been jam-packed and busy, it was nice to visit at a slow pace.

#TravelEatSlay Group Trip Itinerary
Prior to venturing to Prague for our day trip, the lovely Caroline has created a group chat for all attendees. We all know what was on the itinerary and places of interest that we wanted to visit. What I loved the most is that the itinerary was flexible and allowed us to do our own thing too.
- WAF-WAF Letna – waffle cafe
- Prague castle
- Lennon Wall &
Crawling babies - Charles Bridge / Old town
Dancing House
WAF-WAF Letna
We had a morning flight from London Stansted which left around 8.30 am and we arrived in Prague after 10.30 am. Our first stop of the day was waf-waf letna, a gorgeous looking small waffle house where we enjoyed brunch. Thanks to our host we who a collaboration with the company and we got free drinks with every order we made.
I can honestly say I had the best brunch ever, I choose the Big WaF from their menu and it was huge. It was the perfect brunch option accompanied by chicken, bacon and a mixed salad. The prices we very affordable, the big WAF was a mere £3+/- and it was made fresh in store.

The Castle Complex
The Prague Castle complex is the most important cultural institutions in the Czech Republic and a popular tourist destination. This UNESCO monument has always been a seat of power for many centuries and still is today. Our visit to Prague Castle was overshadowed by the horrible weather but it did not dampen our mood.

John Lennon Wall
Though no one knows why this ordinary wall one day became a mural dedicated to John Lennon and the Beatles, it’s an interesting place to visit. The wall is filled with various graffiti, the most notable is that of the man himself, John Lennon. When we arrived at the wall, the weather had improved but that meant a lot of people were there taking pictures.
Charles Bridge / Old Town
Charles Bridge is a historical and gothic bridge that was constructed in 1357 by King Charles IV connecting the old town to the lesser town. It is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Prague and year on end pulls in thousands of visitors. During our visit, it is cold but more so due to the river but it was also crowded.
Though we did not spend much time in the Old Town, we had a lovely time strolling thru it. We visited various little shops most notably those that sold Palačinky {pancake} and Trdelník {doughnut}, we absolutely enjoyed the sweet treats.
During our trip, we saw so many wonderful places but did not have the time to explore everything. One thing we were thankful was how liable and frequent public transport is. For a mere £3, we bought a day tick that can be used on any form of public transport {trains, trams, buses, boat etc}.
Even though we did not get to see the crawling babies nor even the dancing shoes, I am excited to add these to my next itinerary. We had an absolute bust, the day trip was an absolute blast, I actually enjoyed a Prague Group Trip.

You’re most welcome and I am sure you will have loads of fun. By the city pass for 48 or 72 hours and you can free public transport and major tourist attractions.

Prague is one cool city. We went there a few years ago for the Christmas markets. It is so pretty in Winter. It’s relatively cheap too but don’t get ripped off with the stalls selling Prague ham at the Christmas market as they sell it by the weight. I didn’t see the John Lennon wall, that’s super cool
Miranda says
I remember visiting the Christmas market and how crazily experience some things were compared to the usual cheap Prague.
