Prague is a capital city of Czech Republic and is one of the top tourist cities to visit on your escassion of Europe. I have Prague on my travel bucketlist and I am very happy to actually be able to tick it off the list though this won’t be the last time I visit this awesome city.
Like with most of my weekend getaways it started with me being bored at home after work and wanting to go somewhere for a weekend, this was a few days before Christmas and the flight tickets with wizz air were there usual **cheap** affordable. Since I joined the discount club last year with wizz air I am making full use of it, my return ticket came to £20.99!! Yes I know what you thinking that’s totally cheap, it is and I definitely recommend joining the discount club because some deals are ridiculous. My flight to Poland in March is £1.99 plus admin fee £6 that’s £7.99 either way which is less than £15. I was returning from Slovenia when a friend told me by demand that my next trip I have to take her and Prague was the perfect opportunity to take her up on this demand. Don’t get me wrong I love traveling alone but it is nice to have company especially with the airport wait etc. We booked our flight with my discount added which came to just under £42 for our return tickets in total.
Next, though I think this should be first! I checked the hotels in that city, I only ever use booking.com check the most recommended then the most affordable for my budget and then check what the hotels themselves are offering for the rooms listed on booking.com once I am happy with the amount I book the flights then reserve the rooms. What’s awesome about booking.com is you can reserve a room and not have to pay anything until your stay and also you can cancel up to 2 days before your expected arrival and don’t incur any fees **always read up on the cancellation policy before reserving for any hotel**
The day arrived and we couldn’t have been happy to get to the airport and be on our way to Prague, neither of us have ever been so it was an exciting time for both. We met up 3 hours before our flight and chilled at MOH’s place when the time came we headed to the airport which is 5 minutes for MOH’s home. As usual with Luton airport there is always long queues for security search and our flight got delayed by almost 2 hours so instead of arriving at 23.55 we arrived around 2am (Prague is +1 ahead). I had reserved airport transfer with Prague airport transfer service, even with the delay they waited and took us to the hotel. At the hotel reception was still operational and we paid in advance and got shown to our room. It was clean room with comfy bed, slept like a log until 9am for breakfast then 10am we went on our excursion. You can read my Top 5 attractions in Prague to see what we got up to.
I had such a lovely time in Prague and though there was so much snow it made the entire trip more magical and I can not wait to go back.
