Month Ten of the #take12trips documents any travels I may have done in the month of August.
#Take12Trips Travel challenge started by a fellow blogger to challenge fellow bloggers to travel at-least once a month. You can read how I got into the #take12trips challenge and who started it all. The challenge is to travel at least once a month, it doesn’t restrict what kind of travel you should do. I chose to travel abroad at least one weekend a month where possible but you can travel locally too.

Month ten certainly caught me by surprise as I hardly did any travel in August except for Castle Combe. I have mentioned earlier in the month that I took two weeks off blogging, travel was inclusive too. Though I took some time out from blogging and traveling, I did manage to visit Castle Combe. I have mentioned many a time during this challenge that I would mostly be traveling abroad. August was the exception to the rule, my mother actually banned me from leaving the country (lol) so I stayed within the UK.

During the two-week time out, I found myself with enough time to reflect on how much travel I have done so far this year. I realised I have spent way more time either at airports or abroad seeing what’s out there. Don’t get me wrong, I do love to travel and that will never change but I will say I do miss the comfort of my own when I am away. I have just returned from a 2 week trip to Johannesburg, South Africa and as fun as that it I still missed my home.
Though Month ten finished really quickly, I am happy with what month eleven gifted me and can not wait to share. Traveling truly opens up ones mind, you’re exposed to new culture and soundings. Mother Earth has so much more to often than what’s in our own backyards. But that’s not to say let’s not invest some time in seeing what’s right in front of us.
If there is one thing I have learnt during my travels in 2016 is that, where possible see it for yourself and not someone else’s view. Don’t limit yourself to just seeing what’s abroad because home has so much to offer too.

I’d love to start travelling more. I haven’t travelled very much at all, really – I’ve been to tons of places in the UK but not many places abroad (I went to Greece when I was 9, Gran Canaria when I was 18 and Paris last year). Specifically I’d LOVE to visit Canada, Alaska and Scandinavia!
Anosa says
I want to do more UK travels instead of just abroad so hopefully I will do before the year ends.
