With Spring in the air, now is the perfect time to Spring Clean Your Skincare Routine and made simple updates. I am a sucker for a good skincare routine and every season I change up the products that I use. Though this is not essential for everyone specifically those with dry skin, it’s best to NOT Spring Clean Your Skincare Routine.
But, if, however, you have combination or Seborrhoea, take the time to Spring Clean Your Skincare Routine. Making simple changes like updating you mascara, changing the cleansing brush head and possibly the foundation you use. The important thing to remember is to utilize products that add moisture and nutrients back to what the winter weather-stripped.

Spring Clean Your Skincare Routine
In this post, our aim is to share CTM and how you can switch it up every season without spending too much money. CTM stands for Cleansing, Toning and Moisturising, these are the cornerstones of every skin care routine. Whilst exfoliating, SPF and eye creams are important, CTM is one that everyone to be practising for good skin.
But, when it comes to Spring Skincare Routine, exfoliating becomes an important step for healthy skin. When it comes to exfoliating, I do this all year round but each season has its own frequency of use. During Spring, I exfoliate more than during winter, this helps remove impurities and dead skin.
The following steps and products are those that I use and follow religiously because I have seen the benefits of good skin care. For those suffering from skin conditions, I would recommend you first consult your GP before using any new products.

Simple Spring Skincare Routine
Double Cleansing – The warmer weather means more residual dirt and grease on your skin’s surface. To ensure that dirt is removed, we recommend double cleansing especially if you wear makeup.
Products we recommend: Neutrogena Hydro Boost® Water Gel Cleanser | Garnier Micellar Water
Exfoliate – Those with dry skin should exfoliate more, it speeds up the turnover of skin cells, reduces impurities and ride of flaky dry skin. During winter the dead skin cells accumulate and build up on the skin’s surface. Exfoliation helps to rid the skin of the dead cells that accumulate during winter and assists product penetration.
Products we recommend: Kind to skin smoothing facial scrub |Gentle apricot scrub

Lighter Moisturizers – During warmer weather, our retains moisture and stays more hydrated, it’s important to switch out the moisturizers for those with higher water content. But for those suffering from various skin conditions its best to stay with a much creamier and heavier moisturizers year round.
Products we recommend: Neutrogena Hydro Boost® Water Gel Moisturiser | Simple Kind to Skin Hydrating Light Moisturiser
Allow your skin to breath – There is no better weather to stay off the foundation than spring, foundations can lead to clogged pores or even acne. The skin needs to breathe a little better during spring and in return, it will thank you with a glowing complexion.
Another simple yet important step to remember is to always wear SPF to protect your skin from UV rays. It is something that even I often forget as it’s not necessarily considered part of any skincare. A few other things that your skincare should have are;
- Water – best moisturiser in the business
- Vitamins – multivitamins that can help the skin
We are excited that Spring has finally arrived and now I can focus on ensuring I keep my skin hydrated and moisturised throughout. Have you started to Spring Clean Your Skincare Routine yet? What products do you often using when the weather changes?
