Looking back at each decade, I feel both ‘older’ and ‘younger’, I see the change in my features, the change in my way of life, the change in my personality and the experience itched on my face. I am grateful for the life I have lived thus far and excited for the life I am yet to live.

2026 - 39, (Home, England), I am ready for this final year before my 40s but also ready for this next decade.
2016 - 29, (Oslo, Norway), this decade was about self discovery and building the life I dreamt about. The life that I am super proud of and truly grateful to be living. This decade, I built my financial life and in later years choose to heal from the trauma gained in the last decade and now I feel well equipped for the future.
2006 - 19, (Glasgow, Scotland), I thought I was grown (look at the cheekbones 🤣🤣) and ready for the world, chiiiild was I wrong, let’s just say, I am still resolving the trauma the decade brought me but I am grateful because I met my best friends and made decisions for the future I wanted to have. (Spoiler alert - I did better than I dreamed).
1996 - 9, (Home, Zambia) this was my birthday but my little sister insisted she had to be the one in the middle. The only way we knew whose birthday it was, was by standing in the middle but this year I remember baby sister crying her eyes out and refusing 🤨
1988 - 9 months, (Chililabombwe, Zambia) although my mother looks tired and traumatised😟, I know I was loved and happy.

{Guest Post} Summer Sandals ~ Hotter

Summer is officially here and in my neck of the woods it’s been absolutely amazing, well except for today. British weather is one that leaves nothing to be desired and everything to be disliked. But fear not the temperatures will continue to sow and we will all be in for some lovely weather. To compliment that awesome weather, I have a special treat for you. This treat is in form of a guest post by a fellow blogger whose also Oxford based, crazy I know.  Jessica has been blogging for four years and has two blogs a Beauty and a Travel blog. Today Jessica will share with us her favourite summer sandals from her favourite brand Hotter.

summer sandals - hotter

When it comes to summer sandals I’m first to hold up my hand and say I’ve made some awful and regrettable mistakes. From sandals that rub my feet to ones that look like they should defiantly stay on the beach in Malaga. However it’s safe to say I’ve made the right choice when it comes to the summer of 2017. Picking out the lovely Tourist Sandals from Hotter.

Summer Sandals ~ Hotter

Hotter is a British brand that sell footwear made for comfort and focus upon giving the customer what they need. They do a great range of footwear to suit formal and casual wear that looks great on but also feels great. Which is important when it comes to buying shoes especially summer sandals for this time of year.
I find the Tourist sandals which come in 5 colours look great on and have a nice effortless look that suits most outfits, naturally I went for the black sandals as I knew I would wear them more and they would suit more of my outfits but if you are daring enough the red ones would make an outfit really stand out!
The shoes are comfortable and have really soft suede insoles which are cushioned with support to help the feet. I found the support cushions to be a little hard at first. But after a week of walking in them they soften down and felt like slippers. I find I can walk for a good 6 hours in the sandals before I feel the need to relax and take a break. This is the perfect time frame for a good look around the shops or a mooch at the beachfront.
Priced at £59 a little pricey however the quality is of high standard and there are always offers going online or in store. What summer trend would you piece with the Tourist sandals?

I can’t tell what height heel they have if any. The insole reminds me of some cork sandals I love that I have a hard time finding.

Those sandals are perfect for the summer. The insoles do look so comfy. I would probably get a pair if this was available. here. I’d get two pairs – the basic black and a red one. 🙂

At this stage in life I certainly look for cute and comfy sandals. I’ve learned that I don’t always have to go for cute and painful. I would rock these.

Hotter is a brand I have never heard of for shoes. These sandals are indeed a great choice for comfort it looks like and they can be worn for many different occasions as well as with different outfits. I love they come in 5 different colors too which I would probably get a couple different colors. Thanks for sharing these awesome shoes.

Priced at £59, it definitely is a bit pricey. That was my first thought. But if it comes in 5 shades then I’m fine with it for the next 6 hours (I’m buying your words 🙂 ), I’m going to go for it.

I totally go for comfort these days! When they are cute, that is an added bonus! This looks like the perfect combo of both.

I hate when you buy pretty sandals that you love and the rub on your foot the wrong way when you wear them for a long period of time. I’ve wasted a lot of money on shoes like that:(

I keep hearing about hotter but they aren’t a brand I have tried myself, the sandals look so comfortable as well, I may have to delve in to the collection more myself.

Oh my gosh I love those so much! The only summer shoes I have are flimsy little flip-flops so I think I’m going to have to look into these. They’re adorable and I like how hearty they are.

I do so much walking around with my kids in the summer that I don’t usually wear sandals, but the Daisy shoes are really my style.
