The Sunday Currently February 2020 edition is the first in this monthly series where I highlight things that I have been most looking forward to as well as how I got on the previous month. I am a great believer in taking the time to look back, learn from the past and set new goals for the future. Sometimes I think taking a tally of both the good and that bad can a helpful as you plan for the future.
In the Sunday Currently February 2020 edition, I will share what I accomplished last month and what I am most looking forward to this month. At the end of the decade, most people spent time kicking themselves for not accomplishing what they thought they should have achieved by then. I must admit I did take a moment to look back at the last time and the result is that I am happy with my accomplishments.

I have learned in the last 30+ years on planet earth, do not compare, stay in your lane and focus on your goal. It is very easy to get sidetracked but if you stay focused on your goal, you will accomplish it no matter the obstacles.
Sunday Currently February 2020
The Sunday Currently series has a format that I love to follow and makes it easy to compose the post but each month it is different and that’s another thing to love about this series. In the Sunday Currently February 2020, I intend to share the happenings last month and things I am most excited about this month.
- Reading – When I say reading, I actually mean audible which I absolutely love. In December 2019 and January 2020 I listened to 2 books: My sister the serial killer and Purple Hibiscus, incredible books and highly recommended. For February I am looking forward to listening to Girl, Woman, Other.
- Writing – This post and a few others but I am still struggling to push content through and I am not sure what exactly I want to share this year.
- Listening – Funny thing, I have been listening to a wide range of genres this year but a compilation that I am loving on Spotify is that of Les Mills Body Pump 112. A weird choice I know but I do body pump at the gym and the songs have gotten stuck in my head.
- Thinking – about what I need to do to get my writing mojo back as I have been struggling for over 6-months now. Normally, I share between 20-31 posts a month, but in the last couple of months, I am struggling to put through 10 posts a month.
- Smelling – Glades’ air wick house fresheners which I absolutely love, right now I have the vanilla scent on.
- Wishing – I could get my mojo back so I can get back to sharing informative and educational posts.
- Hoping – The coronavirus won’t spoil any of my planned travels to Asia.
- Wearing – Comfy loungewear from Nasty Girl, first time buying from them and I am in love, I highly recommend this ensemble I have on.
- Watching – I have finally given in and started watching YOU on Netflix, a little chilling but absolutely hooked on.
Now that I have shared last month’s happenings, I am ready to share in the Sunday currently February 2020 post things that I am very much looking forward too. For those who follow-up on Instagram you will know I am off to the USA for work then immediately after flying to Vietnam for a girl’s winter escape. I am super excited about both these trips but more so Vietnam as I have never been and I have only heard good things about Hanoi.

Great post and a lovely way to document these things to look back on! I have been hearing great things about YOU so may have to check it out myself. Have a fantastic time on both of your trips, I can’t wait to see your pictures! Oh and in terms of posts, someone once told me 10 great posts that you wanted to write are better than 30 posts you turned out because you felt like you should! xx
Miranda says
Thank you Jess, that means a lot I definitely needed to hear that. I wonโt beat myself too much about the reduced number of posts I publish.

I love this idea of documenting your currents. I might actually start doing this . Thanks ๐

I really enjoyed both seasons of You – it’s just creepy enough to be enjoyable but not too scary!

Such a nice list of activity to do that is fun and simultaneously learning. I would probably love to watch and read anything that develop my individual.
Rebecca Smith says
I keep meaning to check out You on Netflix, we are currently working our way through The Stranger. I hope you can get your writing mojo back soon.
Valerie Gray (@valmg) says
I love the scent of vanilla. I’ve seen room air fresheners but not house ones, I will have to look for them in the store.
Sarah Bailey says
How do you find listening to books? I struggle with it but cannot read anymore, would love some ideas on getting into them more as I do miss books so much.
Tanita Taylor says
Such great advice something I have learned to, is never to compare we are all on our individual paths. Also lusting over the Nasty Girl loungewear it looks so cosy. Hope you get your writing mojo back, but ten posts is a good amount a month. So don’t be so hard on yourself. xx
