Looking back at each decade, I feel both ‘older’ and ‘younger’, I see the change in my features, the change in my way of life, the change in my personality and the experience itched on my face. I am grateful for the life I have lived thus far and excited for the life I am yet to live.

2026 - 39, (Home, England), I am ready for this final year before my 40s but also ready for this next decade.
2016 - 29, (Oslo, Norway), this decade was about self discovery and building the life I dreamt about. The life that I am super proud of and truly grateful to be living. This decade, I built my financial life and in later years choose to heal from the trauma gained in the last decade and now I feel well equipped for the future.
2006 - 19, (Glasgow, Scotland), I thought I was grown (look at the cheekbones 🤣🤣) and ready for the world, chiiiild was I wrong, let’s just say, I am still resolving the trauma the decade brought me but I am grateful because I met my best friends and made decisions for the future I wanted to have. (Spoiler alert - I did better than I dreamed).
1996 - 9, (Home, Zambia) this was my birthday but my little sister insisted she had to be the one in the middle. The only way we knew whose birthday it was, was by standing in the middle but this year I remember baby sister crying her eyes out and refusing 🤨
1988 - 9 months, (Chililabombwe, Zambia) although my mother looks tired and traumatised😟, I know I was loved and happy.

{Fashion Monday} Sunshine ☀️ and BBQ

Sunshine

Sunshine ☀️ and BBQ was what the weekend was all about this gone weekend. The weather has been incredibly awesome the last few days and this weekend was no different. Managed to meet up with some old family friends and a couple of my own good friends. As it doesn’t happen that often having such good weather I took the opportunity to show what I was rocking. Unfortunately for my mummy doesn’t like to take pictures, of the 7 she took only two are presentable 😂😂.

sunshine ☀️ and BBQ

I am sure you’re already tired of hearing me say what an incredible week last week was. If you read my The Happy List #3 I gave a hint as to where I am off to this Thursday. This is my pre-birthday gift to myself and also party of my 30 before Thirty bucketlist. It’s exciting to think 9 weeks ago I set myself a target of visiting the remainder 5 Countries. With 7 weeks to go I am excited to say I have planned and booked the remainder 5 and excited to explore each country.

Setting a bucketlist was something I never really took seriously until the bucketlist movie with Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman. That truly changed my thoughts on setting bucketlist and I started to think about seriously putting one together. The awesome sunshine ☀️ and BBQ has certainly helped me accomplish so much.

To celebrate the awesome weather I felt this outfit was exactly what the doctor ordered for some sunshine ☀️ and BBQ. The ripped jeans I got from New Look earlier in the year and the heels are also from New Look but I have had them for years. The top is a new addition from Mr. Price which I love and picked up a couple of items whilst in Zambia. Whilst the location of the BBQ called for flats because it was a park, it was still nice to dress up.

What did you get up to this gone weekend? Happy Memorial and Bank Holiday Monday to all who celebrate.
