Looking back at each decade, I feel both ‘older’ and ‘younger’, I see the change in my features, the change in my way of life, the change in my personality and the experience itched on my face. I am grateful for the life I have lived thus far and excited for the life I am yet to live.

2026 - 39, (Home, England), I am ready for this final year before my 40s but also ready for this next decade.
2016 - 29, (Oslo, Norway), this decade was about self discovery and building the life I dreamt about. The life that I am super proud of and truly grateful to be living. This decade, I built my financial life and in later years choose to heal from the trauma gained in the last decade and now I feel well equipped for the future.
2006 - 19, (Glasgow, Scotland), I thought I was grown (look at the cheekbones 🤣🤣) and ready for the world, chiiiild was I wrong, let’s just say, I am still resolving the trauma the decade brought me but I am grateful because I met my best friends and made decisions for the future I wanted to have. (Spoiler alert - I did better than I dreamed).
1996 - 9, (Home, Zambia) this was my birthday but my little sister insisted she had to be the one in the middle. The only way we knew whose birthday it was, was by standing in the middle but this year I remember baby sister crying her eyes out and refusing 🤨

Taffy Mail – American candy subscription Box

American candy is something I have grown up with since I was a kid in Zambia. There was a local shop that sold all manner of candy, sweets and snacks but my favourite was everything American. I was addicted {still am} to the sweetest candies I could find, my dentist can attest to this. My addiction to candies and snacks is so bad, I visit my dentist regularly and I walk around with a tooth-brush.

A couple of weeks ago an opportunity presented itself to try Taffy Mail, all I saw was American candy. I did not need any further convincing I was game to give this box of goodies a try. I have such a crazy sweet tooth it is enough to give  chocolatiers a run for their money. This opportunity was something I had to partake in and today I am sharing my thoughts.

Taffy Mail

Disclosure: I was sent the classic Taffy Mail box in exchange for an honest review of the service. All opinions are 100% my own, there was no monetary exchange and I only recommend products and services I am willing to try myself.

Taffy Mail – American candy subscription Box

Taffy Mail is a UK monthly subscription box bringing you the best of the American candy, snacks and Sweets. Prior to this collaboration, I was not familiar with the service therefore I needed to research {google} the company. The company offers three types of monthly subscription boxes; Lite {£7.49}, Classic {£14.99} and Extra {£24.99}. Each box contains delicious American treats including soda and even cereal. The beauty about this subscription service is that you can cancel any time you want. The contents of each box differ dependent on the size that you choose:

  • Lite – contains 4-5 items and can easily fit into your letter box
  • Classic – contains 10 – 12 items including a soda.
  • Extra – contains up to 20 items can sometimes include cereal

When Taffy Mail started out over 3 years ago, they only offered one size box which is now call the classic box. It wasn’t until a year after they started trading that the lite and extra boxes were introduced. The company also creates seasonal grab boxes like Halloween box containing Halloween sweets etc. I was sent the classic box which had about 12 items that I am currently working my way through.

Taffy Mail

So how does it all work?

So you’ve decided you want to try some American candy but you’re not sure how to go about it. Well its pretty simple, you just have to follow three easy steps and you’re good to go.

  1. Head over to Taffy Mail and subscribe to the box of your choice. If you’re not sure if you will like the treats, why not start with the Lite box. It offers you 4-5 items which you can put to the test and doesn’t cost an arm and a leg. Subscriptions close on the 1st of every month, new subscriptions are opened on the 2nd of every month.
  2. Once you sign up, the company curates a box with a mixture of the best American candy and send to you. Several types of payments options are offered: Visa, MasterCard and American Express. You’re also welcome to change-up the subscription plan whenever you want. All you need to do is send a cancellation email to the support team: {[email protected]}. This may take a couple of days, afterwards you can go back and sign up for the box you want.
  3. Boxes are then shipped out on or after the 15th of every month and delivery to happen 3-5 days after. I received my box on Monday 16th October with all the goodies. Each subscription box is charged on the 1st of each month, if you sign up 18th October first payment will be 1st November.

Why I am loving Taffy Mail

  • It is different to any other snack boxes I have tried including World of Snacks I reviewed last year.
  • You have three options to choose from and the prices are affordable
  • Free delivery and free cancellation
  • Can be sent as a gift to a loved one
  • You can make changes to your subscription plan and even payment options
  • The candies, snacks and sweets are just exception.
  • A July Dreamers can use the code TAFFYDREAM at checkout to get 10% off for the first three months.
