The Best Fashion Influencers #granfluencer edition

I am sure when you think about the best fashion influencers you are thinking either the celebrities or influencers like Patricia Bright, Lily Pebbles or Anna of The Edit. But what if I told you that there is another group of incredible and quite possibly the best fashion influencers ever, the #granfluencers that have taken over popular platforms like Instagram and Facebook. The first grandpa-influencer that caught my eye was the silver fox – Irvin Randle whose incredible style captivated not only the grans but even millennials.

Fashion fits all is one of my favourite quotes that a fashion blogger I used to follow always mentioned on her blog. There is no truer statement ever spoken, we all have our own preferences, our likes and dislikes and fashion is no exception. What I might consider to be a cool looking outfit might not appeal to someone and vice versa. People often talk about fashion as being an extension of your character but some days you just want to dress how you feel and that is ok. The granfluencers are a breath of fresh air that we all didn’t know we needed.

The Best Fashion Influencers #granfluencer edition

When I started this blog, I shared a lot of Fashion related content and whilst this has taken a back burner now, I absolutely enjoyed sharing my thoughts on various items that I owned. I loved using sites like ‘Polyvore‘ to create looks and share what made me create the looks that I did and what they meant to me. Over the last few years, I have found myself slowly but surely withdrawing from sharing fashion content on this blog because I lack motivation. Someone of the best fashion influencers that I used to follow back in the day have dropped off and others have rightly changed as they grown and adopted new styles.

The #granfluencers on the other hand are definitely reminding us that age is just a number, you can dress how you like and in a way that makes you happy. Fashion is something I seem to have developed a love-hate relationship with, maybe hate is a strong word but you get the gist. There is nothing I love more than pairing my favourite skinny jeans with some white canvas, a nice tee and a light blazer. I love keeping things simple, stylish but very much low-key however, the #granfluencers are teaching me to be loud and stylish with my outfits and not dark and dull. Henceforth, we are packing the dark and dull and pulling out all stops for bright coloured outfits that speak to my personality and love for all colourful things.

Chums has put together a league table of the ranking gran-fluencers and I am all for this list, I do love Iris Apfe (@iris.apfe) and think she is one of the best fashion influencer and not just as a #granfluencer but as a person, I love her style and colours. I love her quote, ‘more is more and less is a bore‘ whenever I am thinking less is more in fashion, I always think of her quote and get a nice giggle out of it. Fashion fits all, don’t just copy other people, find your style and rock that away and I hope you check out the league table with all the gran-influencers and let me know whom you love the most.
