Looking back at each decade, I feel both ‘older’ and ‘younger’, I see the change in my features, the change in my way of life, the change in my personality and the experience itched on my face. I am grateful for the life I have lived thus far and excited for the life I am yet to live.
••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••

2026 - 39, (Home, England), I am ready for this final year before my 40s but also ready for this next decade.
2016 - 29, (Oslo, Norway), this decade was about self discovery and building the life I dreamt about. The life that I am super proud of and truly grateful to be living. This decade, I built my financial life and in later years choose to heal from the trauma gained in the last decade and now I feel well equipped for the future.
2006 - 19, (Glasgow, Scotland), I thought I was grown (look at the cheekbones 🤣🤣) and ready for the world, chiiiild was I wrong, let’s just say, I am still resolving the trauma the decade brought me but I am grateful because I met my best friends and made decisions for the future I wanted to have. (Spoiler alert - I did better than I dreamed).
1996 - 9, (Home, Zambia) this was my birthday but my little sister insisted she had to be the one in the middle. The only way we knew whose birthday it was, was by standing in the middle but this year I remember baby sister crying her eyes out and refusing 🤨
1988 - 9 months, (Chililabombwe, Zambia) although my mother looks tired and traumatised😟, I know I was loved and happy.

The Best Trading Apps for All Investor Types

Sponsored

As an investor, I am always on a look out for the best trading apps out there that can give me the widest access to the stock market to be able to trade in stocks, shares and commodities. I have been investing for over 8 years now and in that time I have gained (and continue to gain) knowledge on the best investing strategies, the best platforms to use and what type of investment accounts I should have. And, recently, I learned that there is such a thing as a *trading app comparison site which works similarly to travel comparison sites which is the coolest thing ever and I think it makes newbie investor’s lives less stressful and easier to navigate investing.

When I was a new investor, I did not know about trading apps, I only knew about the one brokerage account that my then company had signed the employees up to. I was not aware that there was a plethora of apps and sites that you could use to trade on the stock market. Partly because, I was under the impression that only rich people could ‘trade’ and secondly the work itself ‘trade’ was quite intimidating, it felt a lot different to ‘investing’. I have recently been introduced to the trading comparison site called Sortter, a Finnish FinTech company established in 2018.

The Best Trading Apps for all Investor Types

You could say I got into investing by accident, after graduation I immediately started working and I learned that senior managers (in the field I work in) got stocks and shares as part of the compensation package. As a young adult, I did not know much about this but thought I would rather have the money now especially as I was working on paying off debt. The later I joined another company where I too was offered these stocks and shares and given the choice to sacrifice a bit of my salary to purchase company stock. I was reluctant at first and waited a whole year before I decided to give it a go and I am glad I did.

At that time, I did not know about trading apps, all I knew was that I needed to have a brokerage account and thankfully our company had a deal with a brokerage firm that handled our investments. Over the years I learned how it all worked (investing in stocks and shares) but I still was initially wasn’t ready to step out on my own and find a trading platform or a trading app that I could use. One of my biggest fears was not knowing what I could be doing on those platforms or apps if my company wasn’t involved. Fast forward years later and I have 7 apps and platforms that I use to trade on the stock market and dabble a little into crypto.

How to use Sortter

Of the 7 trading apps and platforms that I use, E’toro is one of my favourites and I am glad that in my video example above using the Sortter site, E’toro made the cut. I love that this comparison site is so easy to use and even a beginner investor can navigate easily and what’s even more wonderful is that at the bottom of the page they provide basic information on what trading is, types of traders etc. Regardless of the country you are based in, you can find which platforms and apps will work best for your personal trading needs. Maybe you just want to trade in crypto or want a mixture of crypto and funds regardless Sortter can help you.

In the last 8 years of being an investor, I have tried a number of trading apps and wish I had a website like Sortter to help me narrow down the field when I started searching the best apps that met my needs. One thing I struggled with is knowing which of these apps and platforms charged less fees and was easy to navigate. For most of them, you were duly informed of the ‘low cost’ of using their app but maybe trading (i.e. buying stocks using their platform) would cost you money. There are apps where you are limited on what you can invest in and charge double fees to invest in a currency other than your home currency.

If you are new to investing and want to know which investing platform is ideal for you then check out Sortter to see which of the many trading platforms matches your investing needs. After making the little walk through video above of Sortter, I now know what other platforms I can use which match my trading needs.

Wow! Seven apps???? I can barely keep track of the two I have! LOL I wish I had a thicker skin and invested more, but my stomach hurts when I “play” with money. So I leave it to the professionals!

I don’t know a lot about trading apps and how to do it all. That’s usually my husbands job. He uses an app but I’m not sure which one.

Interesting. Nevertheless, before investing larger amounts, I’m doing a lot of research and also make appointments at my bank.
