Hi there and welcome! Am sure you remember I mentioned in my Zambian Trip Preview post that I will soon be sharing my full trip back home. Well soon is today and here goes, as I made mention to earlier in my preview post I said about how I have always wanted to go back to my mother Zambia on my own dime. Well this year it happened I didn’t have to save for it I just paid for it from my salary and honestly that was the best feeling ever. So many things have happened this year and I felt like I was being throw into a lion’s den on a monthly basis just to see how I can cope if at all. I am very fortunate and very blessed to have a very supportive family system and wonderful friends full of encouragements.
….moving on…
I left the UK approx. 9.30pm and landed in Dubai around 6am the following day. The flight was 7 hours long (don’t forget to factor in the time difference), I was knackered and very hot. When I left the weather was just 9 degrees that pretty cold for me and around in Dubai with lows of 20 degrees lets just say I paid the price but thankfully I did factor in the heat for Zambia so in my hand language I had shorts. You would think I would have changed at the airport when I was in their rather posh toilets and bathrooms but no me I waited until I was up in the air closer to God then went into the toilets and changed their.
When I landed I had a misfortunate of having a female office scrutinize me from head to toe and demand that all my bags be searched THOROUGHLY before customs could let me through. Obviously my looks offended her but I also so pure jealousy but that’s ok I survived and had the best day ever. Now that I have rambled through and through I will share with you some dreaded pictures.

And for the hideous part that is me…
It took 4 hours to get this hair done, and that’s because these two guys are fast otherwise its a good 7 hours for y heard (yes I heard you its a shift lol).
Thank you Zambia, you were great so great you gave me heat rash on Day 2.

One of my good friends got her hair braided when she was in Ghana and it was the best braid job i have ever seen! And she said she only paid like $25 for it lol looks gorgeous on you!
