It’s been over a month since I set myself another travel challenge to visit 17 places in 2017 and today I am providing Update 1. If I carried on the same trend as last year {#take12trips} then I wouldn’t be able to accomplish this year’s challenge. To keep this #travelbuckelist alive I decided to be checking on my progress every month. I have done it this way to keep reminding myself and keep myself accountable.
With that being said, let me provide you with update 1 of the #visit17placesin2017.
Update 1 ~ Places I have visited
- Birmingham, I went to a concert with my sister in January. Though I didn’t get to explore the city I still count it as visited. I am however hoping to do a proper tour once I get a car.
- Budapest, I took my friend with me to explore this glorious city.
Update 1 ~ Places I have booked
- Cyprus, a few girls and I are heading out to Larnaca for 6 days and we are too excited.
- Stockholm, finally managed to get the leave I wanted from work. I immediately booked my flight and hotel with Ryanair and Booking.com respectively
- Helsinki, I was told there are some awesome day trips to Helsinki from Stockholm so added it also. This is beating two birds with one stone, I am too excited.
Update 1 ~ Places to plan
As I had done with visit 17 places in 2107, I have split my list into Home and abroad. I feel as though I will be able to complete my home visits before I get a chance to do half abroad. As I always mention, regardless of whether I manage to visit or these or not I am just happy to have set goals. We all work differently and for me having a goal that I can look at all the time is very motivating.
