Looking back at each decade, I feel both ‘older’ and ‘younger’, I see the change in my features, the change in my way of life, the change in my personality and the experience itched on my face. I am grateful for the life I have lived thus far and excited for the life I am yet to live.

2026 - 39, (Home, England), I am ready for this final year before my 40s but also ready for this next decade.
2016 - 29, (Oslo, Norway), this decade was about self discovery and building the life I dreamt about. The life that I am super proud of and truly grateful to be living. This decade, I built my financial life and in later years choose to heal from the trauma gained in the last decade and now I feel well equipped for the future.
2006 - 19, (Glasgow, Scotland), I thought I was grown (look at the cheekbones 🤣🤣) and ready for the world, chiiiild was I wrong, let’s just say, I am still resolving the trauma the decade brought me but I am grateful because I met my best friends and made decisions for the future I wanted to have. (Spoiler alert - I did better than I dreamed).
1996 - 9, (Home, Zambia) this was my birthday but my little sister insisted she had to be the one in the middle. The only way we knew whose birthday it was, was by standing in the middle but this year I remember baby sister crying her eyes out and refusing 🤨
1988 - 9 months, (Chililabombwe, Zambia) although my mother looks tired and traumatised😟, I know I was loved and happy.

SONICLEAR ~ Sonic Cleanse Review

soniclearOver the last couple of years I have noticed change in my skin, as we get older our skins start to lose some of its elasticity and with the western diets that most of us are more than happy to partake in has helped lend a hand to how fast our skin is ‘getting older’ not to mention the environmental factors but thats a story for another day. Today I wanted to touch on how I am taking care of my facial skin and I have noticed works and doesn’t work for me. During the summer I shared with you my New and Improved nightly routine, this new and improved routine has moved into my day time routine too. I have been open about how I never really took that much interest in what products I am using so long as they work but since I started blogging this has changed and improved I dare say. The changes have made to my face routines have been exactly what the doctor ordered, for my nightly routine I have added the 540 titanium needles derma roller which helps revitalise my face at night along side the vitamin c face serum. For my day time routine I have added the Pore & Line minimizing hydrator and the Sonic cleanse brush.

The SONICLEAR sonic cleanse brush is the latest addition to my day time routine, the brush when used correctly aims to get deep into your pores to help give a clean and fresh look to the user. I have mentioned previously that I used to use the small exfoliator brush from the Body shop but that brush is at a disadvantage in that its manual and can hardly penetrate the deep facial pores. I love the soniclear because it unclogs my pores and also is a good tool to help remove make-up which has penetrated into your pores. With this brush it’s encouraged that you remove the makeup with wipes before using the soniclear brush. I found this sonic brush to have the following qualities and disadvantages;

Advantages
  • The charger felt like a state of the art product, love the uniqueness of it it’s not your everyday charger and its wireless charging on another level.
  • The packaging and presentation was amazingly done.
  • Easy to use
  • Waterproof
  • Sonic vibrations which helps achieve that beautiful skin faster than manual brush
  • Leaves the skin feeling thoroughly cleaned and alive
  • The instruction booklet is nicely written with all the questions you could come up with in terms of its use, care and maintenance.
  • Came with spare brush head and cover
  • The price is £63.95 unlike the retail price of £149, this is an investment that is cheaper than a visit to the spa or a face lift.

soniclear

Disadvantages
  • The charging time of 10 hours before first use is too long, though I did it felt a bit annoyed I had to wait a day before I could use.
  • The soniclear brush head was slightly shedding, which I think is normal for a few uses.

I have enjoyed using this brush and you can purchase your very own from Amazon using by clicking on the widget above. Because I have the derma roller and now this sonic cleanse brush I am pacing myself of when I use them. I try to space them out so if I use the brush on Sunday night then I will not use the soniclear until the Tuesday morning so I give my face a chance to recover from the derma roller which boosts and stimulate collagen production to give the youthful appearance. The soniclear gives you the professional microdermabrasion without the skin sensitivity or discolouration, it rids of aging lines and makes the face feel fresh and looks younger and who doesn’t want a youthful and younger looking skin?

Do you use a sonic cleanse brush or something similar? What is your face routine and how has it changed over the years? What works for you?

I love that you’re honest in your reviews and post the downsides as well- 10 hours of charge time would be a bit of a pain and I’m curious as to why the heck it takes so long! lol
It seems like a decent product overall but, thankfully, not yet one that I feel it necessary to invest in. I’m sure that will be on the agenda soon though lol

lol I too do not know why 10 hours but the makers thought it prudent to include this information into the manual so I went with it though was not happy about it. Thank for stopping by x

I have been dying to get a soniclear! I have a less expensive style and already killed one abrasion brush. It was battery powered and I would prefer something that didn’t just eat batteries and plugged in. Thanks for the info, I might have to get one of these after the holidays.

I like that I can charge it when ever I want and that it’s less work for me during my night or day face routine.

10 hours charging time is too long especially for devices now. This would be nice to maintain rather than spending so much on facelifts.

I agree 10hours is too long but at the moment that’s what we working with. It’s definitely better option than a facelift

I have big pores, and I’m wondering if it could help with those? Actually you had me when it said it gets rid of age lines, but I’ve had these… well, lack of a better word holes in my face, and I have wanted to get rid of those all my life. I would give my left arm to have smooth skin on my face. I need to get me this and try it for sure.

I don’t know about getting rid of pores but it unclogs then pores so you don’t end up suffering from acne etc. But it definitely get’s rid of age lines which I think is a plus

I guess the reason why some women are afraid to get older because it can be traced on their skin. But, we don’t have to worry anymore because of SONICLEAR. I heard a lot of positive comment from my friends about SONICLEAR.

I’ve been doing so much research lately on sonic cleanse brushes because I really want it (I’ve been wanting one for a while now) and I’ve noticed that the SONICLEAR is a lot of people’s favorite! They say you can see results very quickly and your skin just feels nicer! I love that it leaves the skin feeling thoroughly cleaned, that’s super important <3
