{Fashion Monday} New Year Eve & Day outfit ideas

New Year Eve and Day outfit ideas is the last Fashion post of the year, I can not believe this is the last Monday of the year.

NYE and Day Fashion outfit
How did we get to the last Monday in 2015 already? I mean how did time move so fast? I feel like just a moment ago I was celebrating entering 2015 and now in 4 short days we will be entering 2016. Time has been moving really fast I tell you and I am sure most of you are in the same position as me, shocked but completely happy and can not wait to see what the new year will bring.
I thought I put together some ideas of what outfits I would like to wear for the new year’s eve trek to London (to watch the fire works) and an outfit to wear to church to open the year.
It has  not been too cold lately so I thought wearing some shorts with a nice sweater/jumper with a beanie would go down a storm. I love wearing shorts all season though it is not always a good idea. I should have added some tights but y’all know how I feel about tights but be assured I will wear them to keep warm.
I thought this fancy sleeveless dress in nude is the perfect dress to start the new year on, though I do not have it I am looking for something similar as I think it totally rocks.
For those who do not feel like rocking a dress and just want something laid back then some jeans would do the trick in my book but to make it fancier I would go for ripped jeans then pair it with some wedges a string top (if not too cold) and a nice warm coat/jacket.
I have added a few accessories but y’all know though I love jewellery in most cases I prefer to keep it as a minimum and I think these outfits definitely call for minimal jewellery.
What do you think of my New Year’s Eve and Day outfit ideas? What do you plan on rocking to close 2015 and open 2016?

I was looking for some outfit ideas for my new year and one that I can put on on a chilly weather. I am in love with that brown boot as I always love something that is slightly over the knee. Thanks for sharing.

I’m a bit jealous you’re going to London, I love London. Unfortunately I live in Belgium, but I try to go to London every other year. I like your less-is-more attitude for your outfits, with a little festive touch! I’m staying home with my fiancee on NYE, so I’m going to keep it simple with a black and grey outfit and some silver jewelry, I think. 😉

    • December 28, 2015 / 9:02 pm

Awww, I am blessed to live so close to London and to visit on NYE. I am loving the sound of your outfit for a relaxing night in

  14. December 28, 2015 / 8:36 pm

Those are all so cute! My hubby and I are going to an 80s/90s party for charity that night and it is fancy dress so we need to think about what sorts of costumes to come up with. 🙂

    • December 28, 2015 / 8:38 pm

Oh that sounds fancy, hope you have fun at the charity party.

  15. December 28, 2015 / 8:30 pm

Those brown leather boots look absolutely gorgeous!! Great post 🙂

    • December 28, 2015 / 8:30 pm

      Thanks

  16. December 28, 2015 / 8:16 pm

I’m loving those brown leather boots! That’s definitely one thing I need to purchase for myself this year. I love these outfit ideas you’ve come up with. Excellent taste!

    • December 28, 2015 / 8:22 pm

Thank you so much Mandy, I appreciate that loads.

  17. December 28, 2015 / 6:49 pm

I love a cute New Year’s Eve outfit, but it has been a few years since I really went out and celebrated New Year’s. My kids tend to wake up early and so NYE is not a night for us to stay up late!

    • December 28, 2015 / 6:53 pm

Awww bless, I am sure when they grow older you will be able to enjoy

  18. December 28, 2015 / 6:36 pm

I love anything grey, especially boots! I’m also loving those lace shorts!

    • December 28, 2015 / 6:40 pm

Thanks so much, the shorts are cute

  19. December 28, 2015 / 5:27 pm

I actually have those tall brown boots. I love them. I like the beanie and sweater too. Great choices. Happy New Year!

    • December 28, 2015 / 5:28 pm

Happy New year to you too and thanks.

  20. December 28, 2015 / 4:51 pm

I love the black and white taffeta dress it is simply gorgeous that is something I would wear. This NYE I am wearing a sequin bodycon dress from Motel Rocks it is iridescent and so shimmery!

    • December 28, 2015 / 5:25 pm

Whoooo I can just about picture your dress and how cute you will look in it. Thanks for stopping by

    • December 28, 2015 / 5:25 pm

I am glad I could cater for you too my dear, I love jeans like the next person but not sure I will be rocking it this NYE or day

  21. December 28, 2015 / 3:52 pm

Those are really cute ideas. If I could have to have such a cute wardrobe, I would. But I pretty much live in jeans, t-shirts, yoga pants and pajamas. It’s sad really. lol

    • December 28, 2015 / 3:53 pm

I think you can still rock the jeans lol

  22. December 28, 2015 / 3:31 pm

I am in love with those boots! Also the skirt with the sweater. SO CUTE!

    • December 28, 2015 / 3:48 pm

      Thanks Alex

  23. December 28, 2015 / 3:02 pm

      Thank you Dawn. Happy holidays

  24. December 28, 2015 / 2:53 pm

I am looking forward to the New Year after a hectic and stressful few weeks. We always have a party on NYE with a theme but I have no idea what I’m wearing yet!

    • December 28, 2015 / 3:07 pm

Oh that’s cool, not been to a themed party before and hope you get to relax before then.

  25. December 28, 2015 / 12:53 pm

Great picks! I haven’t actually thought about my New Years outfit yet but this has given me lots of inspiration, thanks. x

    • December 28, 2015 / 12:57 pm

You welcome and hope you find something nice

  26. December 28, 2015 / 12:50 pm

That pom pom beanie is so cute! I can’t believe we’re already at New Year’s… this year totally flew by!

    • December 28, 2015 / 12:56 pm

Thanks, this year has really flown by for me too

  27. December 28, 2015 / 11:59 am

Very stylish ideas for New Year’s.

    • December 28, 2015 / 12:03 pm

      Thank you Ellen

  28. December 28, 2015 / 11:52 am

I’ll be spending my New Year’s Eve at home with the hubby. We will probably do what we usually do: pop some popcorn and watch a bunch of movies while cuddling on the couch.

    • December 28, 2015 / 12:04 pm

      That sounds perfect to me

  29. December 28, 2015 / 11:35 am

My husband and I usually stay home and usher the New Year in with family, but this year we’re headed to Charleston. My son is going to pop the question to his girlfriend on New Year’s Eve and then we’re all going out to a French restaurant to celebrate. I hope I can stay up that late. 🙂 Love the LBD!

    • December 28, 2015 / 11:37 am

Awww, I am so jealous your son is popping the question. Why isn’t my MOH doing it too lol. Happy holidays

  30. December 28, 2015 / 11:33 am

I love that sweater and shorts combo. Those shorts are just to die for and so glam! I am going to be wearing a sparkly playsuit for New Years with some heels personally, but I really wanted a sequinned dress but none of them fit me properly

    • December 28, 2015 / 11:37 am

Awww bless I am sure the playsuit will do the trick.

Beautiful picks as always Miranda. The tan and grey boots are gorgeous, although I usually stick to ankle boots so the grey would be best for me. The scalloped skirt, jumper and beanie would be gorgeous with tights and boots, so cosy but stylish too 🙂

Thank you Fiona, I try now and again 🙂
