Looking back at each decade, I feel both ‘older’ and ‘younger’, I see the change in my features, the change in my way of life, the change in my personality and the experience itched on my face. I am grateful for the life I have lived thus far and excited for the life I am yet to live.

2026 - 39, (Home, England), I am ready for this final year before my 40s but also ready for this next decade.
2016 - 29, (Oslo, Norway), this decade was about self discovery and building the life I dreamt about. The life that I am super proud of and truly grateful to be living. This decade, I built my financial life and in later years choose to heal from the trauma gained in the last decade and now I feel well equipped for the future.
2006 - 19, (Glasgow, Scotland), I thought I was grown (look at the cheekbones 🤣🤣) and ready for the world, chiiiild was I wrong, let’s just say, I am still resolving the trauma the decade brought me but I am grateful because I met my best friends and made decisions for the future I wanted to have. (Spoiler alert - I did better than I dreamed).
1996 - 9, (Home, Zambia) this was my birthday but my little sister insisted she had to be the one in the middle. The only way we knew whose birthday it was, was by standing in the middle but this year I remember baby sister crying her eyes out and refusing 🤨

Valentine’s Day Look

Valentine’s Day Look brought to you by your favourite fashionista (aka me) so you don’t have to stress about. A fellow blogger has already dished out why it’s ok to be single on Valentine’s Day so single it is. I already knew that I wouldn’t be celebrating Valentine’s Day this year and honestly, I am not sad about it.

Because I am a girl who loves a good cry, dust myself up and moves forward. Though not always in that particular order and during the dusting I consume a factory load of chocolates. But even with all of that, I wanted to share some Valentine’s Day look(s) I mean why not. Last year I shared The Day After outfit idea which went down a storm and loved by many.

Valentines Day outfit

This Valentine’s Day look is not your typical outfit many people would go for but I am not ordinary. I love to push boundaries and not conform to expectations but I still wanted to keep some resemblance of red. As the 14th February falls on a weekday and most of us will be working I have two outfit ideas. The weather is not the greatest so I have added this long belted coat for warmth.

Valentine’s Day Look{s}

It would be wrong of me to assume that everyone celebrating V-Day will be having a date night so I added work outfit. As mentioned above, V-Day falls on a weekday and some of us have to be in the office. The first outfit I got inspired by looking at the items in my closet, I have similar items but these are cuter.

I love grey work trousers paired with a simple tie top and completed with some blocked heels. The weather isn’t forgiving just yet so the long belted coat is a stand-in for your warm home. If you’re going out for a date night either with your lover or just friends then outfit #2 is for you. Many of us won’t get a chance to go change at home so you can wear this both to the office and then head out. You can pair the heels with some tights if you’re worried about modesty in the office and take them off later.

Valentine’s Day gift ideas

Whilst I am busy provoking the norm for V-Day, my fellow bloggers have put together some awesome V-Day ideas. Sarah over at Life in a Breakdown lane has put together 4 Great Valentine’s Ideas, the Godiva Buffet de Gâteaux is m favourite. Megan over at Beauty-By-Mini had shared her Valentine’s Day Gift Guide, the Kate spade card holder is just too cute. I loved Rhian’s Caketopper Cakes when she shared her version of 4 Great Valentine’s gift ideas. Whilst many were still reeling from the New Year, I was busy putting together  Valentine’s Day Ideas. Yes, I was a tad early but better early than late. And not to continue putting January to shame I created Valentine’s Day outfit inspo. This was a bit hit and decided to end the month with 20 Valentine’s Day Gift ideas.

What have you been sharing in readiness for V-day? Will you be doing anything special on the day?
