Looking back at each decade, I feel both ‘older’ and ‘younger’, I see the change in my features, the change in my way of life, the change in my personality and the experience itched on my face. I am grateful for the life I have lived thus far and excited for the life I am yet to live.
••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••

2026 - 39, (Home, England), I am ready for this final year before my 40s but also ready for this next decade.
2016 - 29, (Oslo, Norway), this decade was about self discovery and building the life I dreamt about. The life that I am super proud of and truly grateful to be living. This decade, I built my financial life and in later years choose to heal from the trauma gained in the last decade and now I feel well equipped for the future.
2006 - 19, (Glasgow, Scotland), I thought I was grown (look at the cheekbones 🤣🤣) and ready for the world, chiiiild was I wrong, let’s just say, I am still resolving the trauma the decade brought me but I am grateful because I met my best friends and made decisions for the future I wanted to have. (Spoiler alert - I did better than I dreamed).
1996 - 9, (Home, Zambia) this was my birthday but my little sister insisted she had to be the one in the middle. The only way we knew whose birthday it was, was by standing in the middle but this year I remember baby sister crying her eyes out and refusing 🤨
1988 - 9 months, (Chililabombwe, Zambia) although my mother looks tired and traumatised😟, I know I was loved and happy.

UncommonGoods for Valentine’s Day

UncommonGoods is an American company that specializes in unique and unusual gifts and a brand previously featured on here. We have a great opportunity to work with them previously and are happy to share Valentine’s Day Gifts. Valentine’s Day like Christmas is over commercialized but that doesn’t stop me from showing love to my loved ones. The point is, one must show love throughout the year and not just in February, that’s my point. Take your love to the cinema, for a meal or shopping every so often not just during Valentine’s Day.

Valentine's Day

Those who know me know how much I love personalised gifts, for me personalised gifts add the human touch. Not all gifts are created equal, I prefer practical but also unique gifts for my loved ones. If you’ve seen our Gifts of love for him, you will notice all are practical gifts. All the gifts we included in the guide are those that can use passed Valentine’s Day. But I also know we are all different, our partners are different and therefore want different things. Here are some different  Valentine’s Day Gifts for Boyfriends or maybe you’re after Inspirational Jewelry which would be sweet.

UncommonGoods for Valentine’s Day

I have spent some time on UncommonGoods using Sunny gift finder to search for the perfect gifts. Sunny is a new intelligent search tool recently introduced to make life much easier for the customers to find items. I love that it is suggests gifts based on your keywords you’re searching under and gives the results. Another thing to love is that you can use more than one keyword to search for items you want to buy.

For my UK readers, UncommonGoods ships to the UK without extra custom fees when your item arrives. This is such a big bonus as far as I am concerned, as not many companies do this. You just find yourself with a surprise bill when it’s time to collect your parcel.

As someone who won’t explicitly be celebrating Valentine’s Day, I felt it important to treat myself. Valentine’s Day can be a depressing time if you don’t have someone but it shouldn’t be. Whilst searching for things for my loved ones, Sunny suggested this long distance touch LED lamp. I love such cute types of lamps and this would match my bedroom a little too well. There are other unique items that I have seen and considering treating myself to, after all it counts as self-care.

There are so many unique items on UncommonGoods which would make perfect gifts for loved ones. Valentine’s Day and Galentine’s Day are coming up, you don’t have to be like everyone else. Get yourself and your loved ones something unique, practical and would be useful passed Valentine’s Day.

Have you ever heard of UncommonGoods? Will is be Valentine’s or Galentine’s Day? Any special person or plans?

A unique name for a shop! Valentine’s is approaching very soon. I love the color of the lamps – turquoise! I’m sure there are many more items that are appropriate for every occasion.

Just as their name implies, UncommonGoods is the place to find unique items you can’t find anywhere else. Those Himalayan salt shot glasses are awesome. I need to get a set of them. What a cool way to serve Tequila!

I’ve ordered from Uncommon Goods in the past and I love that you’re always able to find a unique gift. I’ll have to check out the Sunny gift finder next time I visit. Haven’t narrowed down what I’m getting my sweetie for Valentine’s Day just yet.

UncommonGoods has such unique gifts! I’m spending Galentine’s Day with a bunch of my girlfriends and I know they’d love these beautiful lamps. As for Valentine’s Day, that’s my dogs birthday so that day is all about him lol <3

My husband and I don’t do gifts for Valentine’s Day, instead we get our kids gifts. However, these are all really great ideas, and ones that I’d purchase without the holiday.
