Looking back at each decade, I feel both ‘older’ and ‘younger’, I see the change in my features, the change in my way of life, the change in my personality and the experience itched on my face. I am grateful for the life I have lived thus far and excited for the life I am yet to live.

2026 - 39, (Home, England), I am ready for this final year before my 40s but also ready for this next decade.
2016 - 29, (Oslo, Norway), this decade was about self discovery and building the life I dreamt about. The life that I am super proud of and truly grateful to be living. This decade, I built my financial life and in later years choose to heal from the trauma gained in the last decade and now I feel well equipped for the future.
2006 - 19, (Glasgow, Scotland), I thought I was grown (look at the cheekbones 🤣🤣) and ready for the world, chiiiild was I wrong, let’s just say, I am still resolving the trauma the decade brought me but I am grateful because I met my best friends and made decisions for the future I wanted to have. (Spoiler alert - I did better than I dreamed).
1996 - 9, (Home, Zambia) this was my birthday but my little sister insisted she had to be the one in the middle. The only way we knew whose birthday it was, was by standing in the middle but this year I remember baby sister crying her eyes out and refusing 🤨
1988 - 9 months, (Chililabombwe, Zambia) although my mother looks tired and traumatised😟, I know I was loved and happy.

Sponsor Roundup: January 2019 Collaborations

Over the last 4 weeks, we have collaborated with a number of incredible brands that match our ethos. In this sponsor roundup, we aim to highlight all the January 2019 Collaborations we’ve had #ontheblog. I believe in being thankful for both the little things and the big things in life.

At the end of every month, we take the time to thank ALL the wonderful collaborations we’ve had. Blogging, though a hobby, is not easy and requires lots of sacrifice and time. Being able to collaborate with various brands lessens the hardship endured. We are thankful for ALL the January 2019 Collaborations mentioned in this sponsor roundup.

At the end of every month, we take the time to thank ALL the wonderful collaborations we've had. Blogging, though a hobby, is not easy and requires lots of sacrifice and time. Being able to collaborate with various brands lessens the hardship endured. We are thankful for ALL the January 2019 Collaborations mentioned in this sponsor roundup.

The January 2019 collaborations roundup is the first dedication post of 2019. On A July Dreamer, we collaborate with a variety of brands and companies. Visit our Work with Me page for more details on the types of collaborations we offer.

Sponsor Roundup: January 2019 Collaborations

January, in general, is often a dry month for most blog collaborations as most companies have used up the marketing budget over Christmas. It is therefore even more rewarding to have had the opportunity to collaborate with various brands. Though the January 2019 collaborations list is short, we are forever grateful for the opportunities.

Best Valentine's Day Gift Ideas

With Valentines Days only a few days away, we put together a gift guide on what every girl wants. I have often mentioned how over commercialised these celebratory days have become but nothing beats the old school gifts. Flowers are one of the best gifts you can give at almost any occasion and Barcelona Florists have incredible variety.

Outside of buying flowers for your loved one, taking them to dinner is often a winner. We were fortunate enough to be invited to Celebrate Valentines Day with Heavenly Desserts in Oxford. This is definitely a twist from the usual Valentines Day dinner dates most often go on.

Another important celebration coming up is Mother’s Day and we’ve compiled Budget Friendly and Affordable Gifts. This can be anything from homemade cards, buying sweet treats from the Card Factory or personalise her favourite prosecco.

January 2019 Collaborations: Fashion

Over the last 5 years of blogging, fashion has been a constant topic on A July Dreamer. We have shared everything from prom dresses to outfit ideas for date night and work. It is something I have a great passion for though I wouldn’t exactly say I have the talent for. But regardless I believe that Fashion Fits All, we all have our own individual styles.

As a frequent traveller, there is nothing more important than being able to pack light and fashionable. I often travel to Europe for work where I need to stay warm and stylish at the same time. These 10 Fashion hacks will come in handy throughout the year no matter the weather. Winter can be brutal in Europe, it is therefore important I have good quality clothing to keep me warm.

January 2019 Collaborations: Lifestyle

As a blogger, there is nothing more important than being able to protect my privacy online. We often share so much online and forget this information will be around forever. It is therefore important to be careful of what is shared online with the world. Being online is great because we have access to limitless resources but not all online information is accurate.

learn a new language

There are a couple of useful resources one can find online including those searing for a new job. Almost all professions can now be found online as almost all companies post their jobs online. Other simple things that can be found online include improving DIY skills. This is of great importance to me because it has been linked to improving mental wellbeing.

Other things being online is useful for includes learning to earn money and claiming PPI. The deadline is coming up pretty fast August 2019, therefore make sure you’ve checked your records. If you were mis-sold PPI on loans, credit cards, store cards then check with the supplier.

January 2019 Collaborations: Travel

As a travel blogger, I love nothing more than spending the day exploring then coming back to a super comfy bed. This is why when I am home I make sure to make my bed super comfortable. 2018 was another great year of travel and 2019 is another promising year.

One place I am eager to visit within the UK is Manchester and explore all these 10 Manchester landmarks. Though I have driven past most of the larger cities in the North, I am yet to explore them thoroughly. This year, we have every intention of visiting as many UK cities as we possibly can.

One thing I love about travelling abroad is the ability to experience a new culture different to my own. I have been travelling to Germany, France and South Korea so often that I am learning a new language. There is nothing more satisfying than being able to communicate with the locals.
