Looking back at each decade, I feel both ‘older’ and ‘younger’, I see the change in my features, the change in my way of life, the change in my personality and the experience itched on my face. I am grateful for the life I have lived thus far and excited for the life I am yet to live.
••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••

2026 - 39, (Home, England), I am ready for this final year before my 40s but also ready for this next decade.
2016 - 29, (Oslo, Norway), this decade was about self discovery and building the life I dreamt about. The life that I am super proud of and truly grateful to be living. This decade, I built my financial life and in later years choose to heal from the trauma gained in the last decade and now I feel well equipped for the future.
2006 - 19, (Glasgow, Scotland), I thought I was grown (look at the cheekbones 🤣🤣) and ready for the world, chiiiild was I wrong, let’s just say, I am still resolving the trauma the decade brought me but I am grateful because I met my best friends and made decisions for the future I wanted to have. (Spoiler alert - I did better than I dreamed).
1996 - 9, (Home, Zambia) this was my birthday but my little sister insisted she had to be the one in the middle. The only way we knew whose birthday it was, was by standing in the middle but this year I remember baby sister crying her eyes out and refusing 🤨
1988 - 9 months, (Chililabombwe, Zambia) although my mother looks tired and traumatised😟, I know I was loved and happy.

SPONSOR ROUNDUP: APRIL 2019 COLLABORATIONS

As April comes to a close, it’s important to take a moment and look back at some of the wonderful collaborations we had. I think it is important to look at the past to learn from it and not dwell in it to have a successful future. Though I am excited about the future, I wanted to take a moment to review the April 2019 Collaborations.

When I started compiling sponsor roundups back in 2013, the ideal was to give the sponsors another spotlight. But it turned into a recap for our readers and hope the April 2019 collaborations list will serve as both. I am grateful to all the wonderful brands who took a chance on us and collaborated with us.

April 2019 Collaborations

A July Dreamer is a UK Travel & Lifestyle blog that focuses on sharing budget-friendly travels and the best eateries in town. I am always grateful when we are able to collaborate with brands that support our ethos. The April 2019 collaborations consisted of only brands that match our ethos.

APRIL 2019 COLLABORATIONS

If you’re a brand or PR and want to collaborate with us on A July Dreamer, please reach out. Visit our Work with Me page for more details on the types of collaborations we offer. We accept collaborations in the following areas; Lifestyle, Travel, Fashion, Food+Drink and Beauty.

April was a fairly busy month for us but we still enjoyed some wonderful collaborations. City Spice in London’s Brick Lane invited us to enjoy dinner at their establishment specifically to sample the vegan menu. As if that wasn’t enough, Cosmo Restaurants invited us to visit their Oxford branch and enjoy a buffet style dinner date.

As a travel addict, I love nothing more than sharing posts on destinations have visited or would love to visit. Even though I have visited Dubai {and Thailand} before, these 6 reasons to visit Dubai definitely resonated with me. With a trip to Los Angeles planned, it doesn’t hurt to also consider other destinations in the USA Vegas, Chicago and Washington are high on the list.

We hope to visit Orlando one day and we shared three reasons why. Travel doesn’t have to be abroad, we enjoyed a visit to the indoor funfair in Liverpool over the half term break.

With the weather becoming warmer by the minute, we were happy to share our tips on tyre maintenance. I am a newish driver but thanks to my dad, we were able to put together some tips. We also shared tips on what to remember when buying a used car, we covered a range of topics.

Though I have reduced how many fashion posts I share, I was excited to share the new accessory in my wardrobe. The lovely people at Adexe sent me a gorgeous watch from their new Sistine range. Thankfully, it arrived in time to be worn at the March Wedding I attended. My wardrobe also got another addition which was a dry wash spray from Day 2, not something I had considered before.

Keep Your Wardrobe Smelling Fresh

As someone looking to jump on the property ladder, I had to do some reason for fellow renters. But in the meantime, I am content with my new home and put together tips for new renters. Even though I am a renter, there are small changes that I can make to my small bathroom to maximise space.

I want to take this moment to thank both my readers and the various and wonderful brands we collaborated with in April. To my readers I say, thank you for supporting the brands that support me and when you get a moment you can recap the April 2019 collaborations.
