Looking back at each decade, I feel both ‘older’ and ‘younger’, I see the change in my features, the change in my way of life, the change in my personality and the experience itched on my face. I am grateful for the life I have lived thus far and excited for the life I am yet to live.

2026 - 39, (Home, England), I am ready for this final year before my 40s but also ready for this next decade.
2016 - 29, (Oslo, Norway), this decade was about self discovery and building the life I dreamt about. The life that I am super proud of and truly grateful to be living. This decade, I built my financial life and in later years choose to heal from the trauma gained in the last decade and now I feel well equipped for the future.
2006 - 19, (Glasgow, Scotland), I thought I was grown (look at the cheekbones 🤣🤣) and ready for the world, chiiiild was I wrong, let’s just say, I am still resolving the trauma the decade brought me but I am grateful because I met my best friends and made decisions for the future I wanted to have. (Spoiler alert - I did better than I dreamed).
1996 - 9, (Home, Zambia) this was my birthday but my little sister insisted she had to be the one in the middle. The only way we knew whose birthday it was, was by standing in the middle but this year I remember baby sister crying her eyes out and refusing 🤨
1988 - 9 months, (Chililabombwe, Zambia) although my mother looks tired and traumatised😟, I know I was loved and happy.

Sponsor Roundup: June 2019 Collaborations

As the month comes to a close, its time to share all the June 2019 collaborations we’ve had on A July Dreamer. Regular readers know this roundup post is a monthly feature which highlights the brands we’ve worked with. It also offers both new and old readers a chance to catch up on some of the content we shared, whilst giving our sponsors extra visibility.

As I sit to write this roundup, I am shocked that half of the year is already gone and the second half begins tomorrow. Obviously, I am excited for July as its both my birthday and my blog’s 6th blogavesary. It has been a long road to reach where I am but I am glad about how much I have achieved. Since my very first sponsor roundup back in 2014, I have enjoyed sharing these posts.

June 2019 collaborations

If you’re a brand or PR and want to collaborate with us on A July Dreamer, please reach out. Visit our Work with Me page for more details on the types of collaborations we offer. We accept collaborations in the following areas; Lifestyle, Travel, Fashion, Food+Drink and Beauty

June 2019 Collaborations

June has been a fairly busy month with many trips abroad every single week making it hard to blog. But nonetheless, we enjoyed some amazing opportunities which I will include in this June 2019 Collaborations post. I am always grateful for the companies that choose to collaborate with us and look forward to work with them again in the near future.

As a travel blogger, I am always happy to share content that both resonates with me and would be of interest to my readers. As the weather warms up and summer is rearing its end, its time to think about different camping styles. I am hoping to do more glamping than camping, last year we enjoyed some glamping in Sussex and the Lake District.

different camping styles

One of my major goals for 2019 was to share more travel and food content and I am glad to have seen an increase in both. We had a wonderful opportunity to attend a cooking class with The Avenue Cookery School in London. Team A July Dreamer attended and had an amazing time learning how to make pasta from scratch, a notable skill.

We also enjoyed a lovely collaboration with one of the cookery class attendees, BWFO and another Italian brand Ciao Gusto. Prior to the pasta cookery class, we had not heard of Buy Whole Foods Online {BWFO} but thankful for the introduction. Ciao Gusto is one we’ve known about before and was nice to work with a brand we already love and use.

Whilst I am glad my love of Travel and Food is becoming more prevalent in the content that I share, I am still a lifestyle blogger. I love the saying, ‘your home is your castle’ because it truly is and I aim to make mine more serene. We recently shared simple tips on how you can make your home more serene because your home should be your safe haven.

Other brands that we collaborated with but will not make the June 2019 collaborations call out post include;

  • No.1 Ship Street – a gorgeous restaurant in Oxford, watch out for the blog post.
  • The Restored – new supplements, equipment and lifestyle brand launching in August 2019
  • The Vue Cinema – we glad to have collaborated with them again, watch out for another review coming up.

I am very grateful for the June 2019 collaborations we’ve enjoyed this month and excited to see what July 2019 has to offer. Have you ever heard of the brands mentioned in this post? For our regular readers, which post was your favourite?

I’d love to go glamping! I’m definitely not made for staying in normal tents.

Some great collabs there! I’d LOVE to do a cookery class, just to bring my skills up to a higher level even if it’s just in the baking / cake sense!
