Looking back at each decade, I feel both ‘older’ and ‘younger’, I see the change in my features, the change in my way of life, the change in my personality and the experience itched on my face. I am grateful for the life I have lived thus far and excited for the life I am yet to live.
••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••

2026 - 39, (Home, England), I am ready for this final year before my 40s but also ready for this next decade.
2016 - 29, (Oslo, Norway), this decade was about self discovery and building the life I dreamt about. The life that I am super proud of and truly grateful to be living. This decade, I built my financial life and in later years choose to heal from the trauma gained in the last decade and now I feel well equipped for the future.
2006 - 19, (Glasgow, Scotland), I thought I was grown (look at the cheekbones 🤣🤣) and ready for the world, chiiiild was I wrong, let’s just say, I am still resolving the trauma the decade brought me but I am grateful because I met my best friends and made decisions for the future I wanted to have. (Spoiler alert - I did better than I dreamed).
1996 - 9, (Home, Zambia) this was my birthday but my little sister insisted she had to be the one in the middle. The only way we knew whose birthday it was, was by standing in the middle but this year I remember baby sister crying her eyes out and refusing 🤨
1988 - 9 months, (Chililabombwe, Zambia) although my mother looks tired and traumatised😟, I know I was loved and happy.

August 2019 Collaborations | Sponsor Roundup

As August comes to a close, it is time to share highlights of our August 2019 Collaborations we’ve had over the last 4 weeks. The collaborations we will focus on are those that were shared on the blog or Instagram, not those that are yet to be finalised. The idea behind the August 2019 Collaborations roundup post is to give both new and old readers a chance to catch up on some of the content we shared.

Since my very first sponsor roundup back in 2014, I have enjoyed sharing these posts and last month, A July Dreamer turned 6 years old. Newer bloggers often ask me how long it took me to start earning from the blog and always share that first sponsor roundup post. Since then I have shared many sponsor roundup posts and today I share the August 2019 Collaborations post.

August 2019 Collaborations

If you’re a brand or PR and want to collaborate with us on A July Dreamer, please reach out. Visit our Work with Me page for more details on the types of collaborations we offer. On A July Dreamer, we accept a wide range of collaborations in the following areas, Travel, Lifestyle, Fashion, Food+Drink and Beauty. The August 2019 Collaborations roundup post will focus only on the collaborations we’ve has this month.

August 2019 Collaborations| Sponsor Roundup

Whenever I share the sponsor roundup posts, I take a moment to look back at the month and what I have achieved. Sometimes it is easier to get bogged down with comparing yourself with others that you forget about your own achievements. I am grateful that this platform allows me the opportunity to better myself, to stop comparing and create something that I love.

Looking at the August 2019 Collaborations and thinking it wasn’t a productive month would be a mistake on my part. It was productive in its own way and maybe not same as last month or even last year but productive nonetheless. I am thankful to all the brands that I was able to collaborate with and those that I have a continued partnership with. With that being said, here is a look at the August 2019 Collaborations.

Six Flags Over Texas

Fright Fest At Six Flags Over Texas – having visited Texas only a couple months ago, I was happy to share this content with my readers as its something that interests me too. I know a fair number of USA readers so it makes sense to share something that is closer to them as well.

Not all sweat treats are bad

Not All Sweet Treats Are Bad For You – thanks to Yumbles, I was able to share a topic that I am passionate about. As a sugar addict myself, I want to share my two cents on the topic as a sort of educational piece on the different sugars out there. The Simple message is to avoid refined sugar, read labels and eat more natural sugars found in milk, fruits and even vegetables.

August 2019 Collaborations

The CoURT Hostel by CODE PODS – Last month I was invited to the opening of a new hostel in the heart of Edinburgh by Code Pods. Whilst I had not heard of the brand before, I was familiar with the pod concept and stayed in a few across Europe. I enjoyed my stay, it was definitely new to the UK hostel scene and I absolutely loved the experience.

Last has been a fairly quiet month and there has been some blog changes too, I have decided to post on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays only. This has been a bit change for me because I am someone who posts almost daily. It has taken some getting used to but I think for September it will be even more appreciated.

I found August to be quite quiet when it comes to collaborations. It sounds like you had a good month.

It’s great to have a record of what you have done each month. Some months do tend to be quieter but you certainly have done some great things.

I’ve been trying to cut down on refined sugar, I really find it helps boost my energy and mood so I’m off to read your post on this for some snack ideas.

Great collaboration roundup. And I used to post 4 times a week and went down to twice a week, then once and now its typically once a week or less. I was afraid to do it but once I kept posting useful, good quality content my traffic went up because I had time to concentrate on other areas to grow my blog. So I’m sure you’ll be fine and it’ll work out for the best x

What a great month you’ve had! august has been manic for me and although I took a lot of time off the blog to be with the kdis, I have been focusing heavily on IG sponsorships to get through the summer!
