Looking back at each decade, I feel both ‘older’ and ‘younger’, I see the change in my features, the change in my way of life, the change in my personality and the experience itched on my face. I am grateful for the life I have lived thus far and excited for the life I am yet to live.

2026 - 39, (Home, England), I am ready for this final year before my 40s but also ready for this next decade.
2016 - 29, (Oslo, Norway), this decade was about self discovery and building the life I dreamt about. The life that I am super proud of and truly grateful to be living. This decade, I built my financial life and in later years choose to heal from the trauma gained in the last decade and now I feel well equipped for the future.
2006 - 19, (Glasgow, Scotland), I thought I was grown (look at the cheekbones 🤣🤣) and ready for the world, chiiiild was I wrong, let’s just say, I am still resolving the trauma the decade brought me but I am grateful because I met my best friends and made decisions for the future I wanted to have. (Spoiler alert - I did better than I dreamed).
1996 - 9, (Home, Zambia) this was my birthday but my little sister insisted she had to be the one in the middle. The only way we knew whose birthday it was, was by standing in the middle but this year I remember baby sister crying her eyes out and refusing 🤨

July 2016 Sponsors

July 2016 sponsors, is a roundup post of all the wonderful sponsors I worked with throughout the month of July. I never take for granted all the people, PR companies and Brands that reach out to me to collaborate together and promote eath other brand’s in the long run.

I have been blogging for just over 3 years now, I have said this many a time on the blog. When I started blogging, it was a form of release for me after finishing university and leaving home. It can be daunting leaving away from home when all you’ve known your entire life is home. I have been fortunate that something I started as a hobby (still is) helps to generate some revenue for me.

So as not to take the wonderful sponsors for granted, I would like to extend my thanks to my sponsors. Without further adieu, here are the July 2016 sponsors.

Roundup of July 2016 Sponsors

Sponsors come in all shapes and sizes, for me it is either content placement or writing content myself. I have split the sponsors in Content Placement or Writing Content.

Content Placement – I work with a number of writers so I am always happy to receive content they write for a small fee. Check out my fees HERE.

Dental Implants & Self-Esteem – Though not all of us require dental implants to improve our smiles and self-esteem, I think it was important to share this content with my readers because (1) there could be one who needs it and (2) it’s good knowing there are options available out there should the need ever arise.

Cutting down on your heating – As someone who is renting an apartment and paying for my own bills, I am always looking for cheap ways to cut down of heating in my home as well as other bills. I was happy to share this content with my readers especially those in colder climates or just the UK where it feels like winter most of the year.

Garden Shed – As soon as I read this content I knew I had to share with my readers. I don’t have a garden shed but my parents do. Currently the shed is a home for all the garbage we can’t decide what to do with. It would be nice to be able to convert it into a work shop of sorts for dad. The fascinating ideas shared for a beautiful garden shed received a great response from my readers.

Venture Photography – There is no blogger out there who does not care for their blog pictures. Whether we thinking of them in a professional sense or just good quality images, we all think about photography. For parents out there, I was happy to share this post on professional Baby Photography services because well who doesn’t love having a couple of professional pictures of their kids. Whether you go out and hire someone or you do them yourself, it’s nice to have pictures around your home.

Writing Content

Though writing content for my blog is never an issue, it is still nice to have sponsored content. It is nice to be paid or provided with products to write about. The beauty about writing the sponsored content is you have 100% control of it.

Fishpools – Though I was not familiar with the company, the request to write content and include them was something that I was happy to do because (1) I was already writing my living room wishlist, (2) gave me an idea of what other companies/brands I should be looking at for my wishlist. And (3) it was nice to make some cash from something I love doing and was going to do anyway.

birthday presents

House of Fraser – I have said this a number of times, I am honoured every time I am asked to work with House of Fraser. This is one of those brands that just never falls out of favour. I given store credit, with the credit I picked three lovely maxi dresses that are just sublime. As a part-time Fashion blogger, I have my eye on a lot of items and it is always a blessing when you get what you have your eye on.

Family Favourite

George Asda – Last year I was invited by a PR company to work with George Asda (part of the Wal-Mart Group) and given £250 to chose anything from the new home range. You can imagine my delight because, George Asda was (still is) one of our favourite family stores.

Every weekend, Mum & Dad would take me and my siblings to Peterborough and we would all go into Asda and bought our food and other essentials then walk across to George Asda and grab either school clothes or new pair of jeans, trainers and even accessories for me, my sister and mum.

So imagine my surprise when I was contacted again to work with George Asda but this time create an outfit of #IWoreWhatNow. I had so much fun, going through old photos with my parents and reminiscing on the old times and my choice of outfits. It was such an amazing and emotional time, doing this project gave me some alone time with my parents and I couldn’t be happier.

IWoreWhatNowA hearty and huge thank you from all my July 2016 sponsors. It was an honour and a privilege and hope to see you on the blog again.

From my list above, whose your favourite sponsor?

You have a great sponsors list, they are the reason why we (bloggers) are still here and motivated to write. They are simply awesome. My blog is only 5 years old but with that short range of time I gain trust from few advertiser who believe on my site. That really inspire me to keep going .
