Looking back at each decade, I feel both ‘older’ and ‘younger’, I see the change in my features, the change in my way of life, the change in my personality and the experience itched on my face. I am grateful for the life I have lived thus far and excited for the life I am yet to live.

2026 - 39, (Home, England), I am ready for this final year before my 40s but also ready for this next decade.
2016 - 29, (Oslo, Norway), this decade was about self discovery and building the life I dreamt about. The life that I am super proud of and truly grateful to be living. This decade, I built my financial life and in later years choose to heal from the trauma gained in the last decade and now I feel well equipped for the future.
2006 - 19, (Glasgow, Scotland), I thought I was grown (look at the cheekbones 🤣🤣) and ready for the world, chiiiild was I wrong, let’s just say, I am still resolving the trauma the decade brought me but I am grateful because I met my best friends and made decisions for the future I wanted to have. (Spoiler alert - I did better than I dreamed).
1996 - 9, (Home, Zambia) this was my birthday but my little sister insisted she had to be the one in the middle. The only way we knew whose birthday it was, was by standing in the middle but this year I remember baby sister crying her eyes out and refusing 🤨
1988 - 9 months, (Chililabombwe, Zambia) although my mother looks tired and traumatised😟, I know I was loved and happy.

Christmas gift idea for him

Christmas gift ideas for him is a continuation from the christmas gift idea for her which I shared earlier this week. As mentioned in my previous post, the gift guides I am doing are more like pinning boards of ideas that I have for people in my family. I hope that some of the ideas I will share and shared previously will give you an inspiration for what to get the people in your life.

Gift guide for him

For this guide, I am sharing ideas of what I want to get for my dad, my brother, my nephew and Boo. The gift ideas I have come up with for the men in my life are the ones I know they need (for some) and hope they will like (for others).

Gift Guide for him

Gift Guide for him

DAD – Trainers/Scarf & Gloves

My dad is not the hardest person to shop for, usually you just see what his using the moment or looking at a lot online and that’s usually it. But I noticed when I went to visit how much he loves wearing his trainers for running errands and sometimes to work too. Since it is cold, I think he needs an upgrade in the accessories department AKA new gloves and new scarf.

Brother – Xbox Gold subscription/Watch

When I got my first real pay 10 years ago I took my brother shopping and I bought him his first ever Xbox, since then he’s gone through 3 and the latest one is a xbox 360 or is it one (I can never tell). My sister-in-law gave me the idea for his present so a subscription for 12 months is what I intend to get him and I also thought I have never bought a watch for my brother before, I need to get on that. Any ideas of good watches for me?

Boo – Notepad & Pen/Tie or cuff links

Like me Boo spends every waking day on his laptop working (from home), his job again like mine requires having notebooks for not only scheduling meetings but also planning life in general. Last time I bought him cufflinks and tie he loved them so much so I thought maybe give him something he loves and needs too.

Nephew – Bike

I have seen a million Christmas gift guide’s since November 1st but kids christmas gift guides have only started getting more popular since we entered December. My nephew turned 3 last month and I think it is a good age for him to have a bike now, obviously I will discuss with my sister-in-law but I just love the idea of him having a his first bike from me.
There you have it, my Christmas gift guide for him, as much as I love presents I prefer to see my family healthy and happy especially since we all live so far away from each other.
What are you getting the men in your life?

I find the men in my life really hard to buy for. I’m sure your nephew would love some kind of bike, we bought my daughter a balance bike for her 3rd birthday.

I find buying gifts for men really hard. I don’t think there are as many options add there are four us ladies. Hopefully these men in your life don’t read your blog otherwise they’ll know what they’ll be getting 🙂
