Looking back at each decade, I feel both ‘older’ and ‘younger’, I see the change in my features, the change in my way of life, the change in my personality and the experience itched on my face. I am grateful for the life I have lived thus far and excited for the life I am yet to live.

2026 - 39, (Home, England), I am ready for this final year before my 40s but also ready for this next decade.
2016 - 29, (Oslo, Norway), this decade was about self discovery and building the life I dreamt about. The life that I am super proud of and truly grateful to be living. This decade, I built my financial life and in later years choose to heal from the trauma gained in the last decade and now I feel well equipped for the future.
2006 - 19, (Glasgow, Scotland), I thought I was grown (look at the cheekbones 🤣🤣) and ready for the world, chiiiild was I wrong, let’s just say, I am still resolving the trauma the decade brought me but I am grateful because I met my best friends and made decisions for the future I wanted to have. (Spoiler alert - I did better than I dreamed).
1996 - 9, (Home, Zambia) this was my birthday but my little sister insisted she had to be the one in the middle. The only way we knew whose birthday it was, was by standing in the middle but this year I remember baby sister crying her eyes out and refusing 🤨
1988 - 9 months, (Chililabombwe, Zambia) although my mother looks tired and traumatised😟, I know I was loved and happy.

{Fashion Monday} From Day to Night

This weekend I was home chilling next to my TV when inspiration to put together an outfit ‘From Day to Night’ hit me. I did what I always do and pulled up polyvore and started searching for the dress I had pictured in my mind when I stumbled on a ‘Short-Sleeve-Self-Tie-Dolman-Dress’ from Sheinside. I don’t usually just gallivanting onto polyvore without a brand name or type of dress, jeans or skirt in mind but I did this time and I am very happy about it.

They tell me I have an eye for Fashion but I don’t always believe that because I know I am not the most fashionable people around. If you were to see what incredible Fashion bloggers do/share, you would blush for thinking I ‘gat’ style and whatnot but regardless like I always say I do this me, I hope to inspire just one person out there to try something new.

From Day to Night

From Day to Night

One thing that I have noticed lately with my personal fashion and some outfit ideas I share on the blog is that I am no longer afraid to use colours. I am your typical Black & Grey lover but lately I have been putting in more vibrant colours both on here and in my closet. For the ‘From Day to Night’ out, I wanted to maintain my self-image of loving blacks and grey but also dare to add in some colour where necessary and I thought why not add colour to the night part of the outfit and keep my usual colours for the day look.
So what do you think of my final looks? Which do you prefer, the Day Look or the Night Look?

Shift dress (£9.17 – shein.com)~ Not everyone loves shift dresses but for some reason I seem to love them loads. I had a few of them a couple of years back but when I went to visit my extended family back home I found myself without any. I am looking to add back to my collection a lovely and yet simple shift dress.

Motorcycle jacket (£30 – walking-threads.com)~ Now this is a must have for every lady out there, even you who doesn’t particularly like (faux) leather jackets. They are easy to dress, going with so many outfits and they look cute so what’s not to love!!.

Accessorize black flat (£36 – accessorize.com)~ Another must have item on your shoe rack ladies, having some black flats will help you every time. Those of us who don’t always wear heels or when we do we need back up shoes these are it.

BCBGMAXAZRIA wedge sandals (£120 – bcbg.com)~ I have about 6 of these wedge sandals in different colours unfortunately for me they are bunking at my parents house because I am too lazy to go over and bring them to my apartment. I just love how easy it is the wear wedges verse heels. I used to be the queen of heels now I am the queen of flats so the middle ground for me is wedges.

Love that dress. I think it looks like such an easy piece to wear. I think they way you have style for both day and night is great choice. I love the nude colours that work really well with it. Thanks for sharing. I think I may need to invest in that dress.
