Looking back at each decade, I feel both ‘older’ and ‘younger’, I see the change in my features, the change in my way of life, the change in my personality and the experience itched on my face. I am grateful for the life I have lived thus far and excited for the life I am yet to live.

2026 - 39, (Home, England), I am ready for this final year before my 40s but also ready for this next decade.
2016 - 29, (Oslo, Norway), this decade was about self discovery and building the life I dreamt about. The life that I am super proud of and truly grateful to be living. This decade, I built my financial life and in later years choose to heal from the trauma gained in the last decade and now I feel well equipped for the future.
2006 - 19, (Glasgow, Scotland), I thought I was grown (look at the cheekbones 🤣🤣) and ready for the world, chiiiild was I wrong, let’s just say, I am still resolving the trauma the decade brought me but I am grateful because I met my best friends and made decisions for the future I wanted to have. (Spoiler alert - I did better than I dreamed).
1996 - 9, (Home, Zambia) this was my birthday but my little sister insisted she had to be the one in the middle. The only way we knew whose birthday it was, was by standing in the middle but this year I remember baby sister crying her eyes out and refusing 🤨
1988 - 9 months, (Chililabombwe, Zambia) although my mother looks tired and traumatised😟, I know I was loved and happy.

{Monthly Roundup} Fashion Favourites July 2018

The fashion favourites July 2018 is a roundup of all the fashion items I have been loving this month. In this article, I aim to share all the items I have loved and might have even purchased. Summer has been absolutely glorious the last few weeks and I hope it continues to be warm.

Fashion Favourites July 2018

As I mentioned in the June 2018 Fashion Favourites, the monthly roundup is taking a new direction. Previously the focus was on content that I had shared throughout the month, sponsored posts included. The direction as mentioned will focus on items I have been loving throughout the month. It won’t necessarily be items that I already have in the closet but ones that I am lusting after. One thing that will not change is the inclusion of fashion posts that I have shared throughout the month.

Fashion Favourites July 2018

Fashion Favourites July 2018 edition is the seventh instalment for 2018 but 33rd article since its inception. In the 2 years that I have been sharing this series, I loved sharing a recap of the fashion ideas. Starting with the Fashion Favourites July 2018 edition, I am including the items I have been loving.

Summer has been absolutely loving the last couple of months, I hope this weather continues. I do have a lot of other items that I have not worn yet but absolutely loving. Most of them are maxi dresses which are always my favourite pieces during the summer months. Unfortunately this summer the weather has been too hot to wear anything too long.

Fashion Favourites July 2018

Jumpsuits: Those who know me know I am not big on jumpsuits because of the toilet inconvenience. But this summer, I am absolutely loving jumpsuits and have even ordered a couple of them. I have a few trips in August so I have bought some jumpsuits to wear on them.

Sandals: I had a few pairs which I absolutely loved but wore them to the ground and now need to replace them. JustFab has some really lovely sandals and I managed to pick up a couple of pink sandals that I am loving.

Shorts: The weather has been glorious throughout July, I have worn more shorts than trouser. I can not seem to get enough of them, I picked up a couple from H&M and New Look.

Fashion Favourites July 2018

As is customary with the monthly fashion favourites roundup, here is what I shared in July.

White Jeans in summer, this outfit I threw together at the last-minute for the Blog event I attended. White is not a colour I wear often especially white jeans still I loved my simple outfit.

Summer Fashion Capsule, every season I love creating fashion capsules of items I like wearing. It’s rare for me to add pieces to my wardrobe that serve no purpose whatsoever.

And there you have it, the Fashion Favourites July 2018 edition including items I am loving. These are items that I have either been lasting for or been wearing lots of this season.

What are some of the items you’re loving?

I’ve been loving midi skirts this month while it’s been really warm. I’m still not a fan of white jeans as I don’t think I can keep them clean x

The weather has been so amazing this year and it has been so nice to be able to wear some summer clothes for a few weeks. I would love to be able to wear jumpsuits, they look so comfortable.

I love trousers at any time of the year. It’s comfortable. In summer I wear free pants made from natural fabrics, such as linen. But shorts are also great clothes for the summer!

Oooh I haven’t seen any jumpsuits but do have a new pair of short dungarees. I have never found a maxi dress I like yet (and feel like the only woman on the planet to have never owned one). I am also loving my denim shorts.

I’ve been living in shorts since June. Loose, light tops are must too for me. And I’ve finally invested in my first pair of Birkenstocks!
