Looking back at each decade, I feel both ‘older’ and ‘younger’, I see the change in my features, the change in my way of life, the change in my personality and the experience itched on my face. I am grateful for the life I have lived thus far and excited for the life I am yet to live.
••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••

2026 - 39, (Home, England), I am ready for this final year before my 40s but also ready for this next decade.
2016 - 29, (Oslo, Norway), this decade was about self discovery and building the life I dreamt about. The life that I am super proud of and truly grateful to be living. This decade, I built my financial life and in later years choose to heal from the trauma gained in the last decade and now I feel well equipped for the future.
2006 - 19, (Glasgow, Scotland), I thought I was grown (look at the cheekbones 🤣🤣) and ready for the world, chiiiild was I wrong, let’s just say, I am still resolving the trauma the decade brought me but I am grateful because I met my best friends and made decisions for the future I wanted to have. (Spoiler alert - I did better than I dreamed).
1996 - 9, (Home, Zambia) this was my birthday but my little sister insisted she had to be the one in the middle. The only way we knew whose birthday it was, was by standing in the middle but this year I remember baby sister crying her eyes out and refusing 🤨
1988 - 9 months, (Chililabombwe, Zambia) although my mother looks tired and traumatised😟, I know I was loved and happy.

Five Things Week 10 ~ End of 2016 {+Giveaway}

Five Things Week 10, marks end of 2016 and also 10 weeks since I started sharing these weekly roundups. I have an ongoing #giveaway open to UK residents only to win a Lee Stafford Academy straighteners. It’s seems surreal that today is the last day of 2016, where has the year gone. When I sit down and reflect on the year, I have been truly blessed and can only imagine how 2017 will be like. God’s grace allowed me to complete my #take12trips travel challenge and give an update of how I did in the year. I have had an opportunity to thank my 2016 sponsors including the December 2016 sponsors I mentioned yesterday. 2017 holds so much promise and I can not wait to see what the lord has in store for my life as a whole.

five weeks week 10

Five Things I did

  • Last Sunday was Christmas Day, I spent the day with my parents and we went to church together. It was a good calm and relaxing day, I had given my parents the Christmas presents I got.
  • Tuesday night, tried out a new restaurant {to me} in Whitechapel called The Gourmet Hut. They have the most delicious burgers ever, we had such a great time there.
  • Thursday went shopping with my friends in Oxford, the weather was absolutely frightful but KFC was so delightful. Hahaha
  • Spent three awesome days with my besties just enjoying life and ending the year with a bang.
  • Friday, traveled home for end of year and opening of the year service with my parents. I have always loved closing and opening the year in the house of the lord.

Five Great Things to happen

  • Last week Thursday, my friend who I visit in Korea yearly came back for Christmas to visit her family {+Friends}. It was great to see her and our other friends, 3 musketeers.
  • Tuesday went to Bethany Green ‘Spa Experience’, we had booked to spend some time in the spa.
  • Wednesday, I passed my practical driving test. I didn’t mention it to anyone until after I got my certificate.
  • Thursday, we spontaneous decided to go clubbing Reading. It’s been over 3 years since we three last clubbed together.
  • A brand I recently worked with asked me for a long-term collaboration, I couldn’t say yes fast enough.

Five Things that sucked

  • Monday, all trains from Paddington where cancelled so couldn’t go back home. This was a blessing and a curse, blessing spent more time with parents and curse, ruined my plans.
  • Tuesday, still no trains where running from Paddington until 29th Dec 2016. We ended up heading to Ealing Broadway to catch trains to Oxford but got on the slow (murderous) train. #adultchoices you stick to them.
  • The spontaneous visit to Reading to club cost us £50+ for a taxis home since no trains where running at 4am.
  • I had a troll bully me on my blog Facebook page and it ticked me off. Thanks Facebook for the option to block and ban unwanted people from the page.
  • Though I passed my driving test, it was scary driving in the fog. There was a 20-car trail accident on A40 on Wednesday where one person died in Oxfordshire. So sad.

Five Things for next week

  • Stay organised, on a recent trip shopping with my mother I picked up a stay organised planner from Wilko and cannot wait to start using it.
  • I intend to set my yearly goals which are broken down either into quarters or monthly achievable targets.
  • Schedule posts for the next two weeks as I catch up on the other ugly side of blogging
  • Start saving for a car now that I have passed my test
  • Start saving for the concert I am attending with my sister at the end of January.

And there you have it, Five Things week 10. Though quite unbelievable, goodbye 2016 and wishing you all a great start to 2017.

Having a planner is such a great help, my big problem is remembering to enter the goals into a planner not just my head lol

Happy new year. I had trouble with the trains too. I wanted to get into London last night but couldn’t because of the engineering work going on x

It was totally annoying having so many engineering works during the festive period.
