Looking back at each decade, I feel both ‘older’ and ‘younger’, I see the change in my features, the change in my way of life, the change in my personality and the experience itched on my face. I am grateful for the life I have lived thus far and excited for the life I am yet to live.

2026 - 39, (Home, England), I am ready for this final year before my 40s but also ready for this next decade.
2016 - 29, (Oslo, Norway), this decade was about self discovery and building the life I dreamt about. The life that I am super proud of and truly grateful to be living. This decade, I built my financial life and in later years choose to heal from the trauma gained in the last decade and now I feel well equipped for the future.
2006 - 19, (Glasgow, Scotland), I thought I was grown (look at the cheekbones 🤣🤣) and ready for the world, chiiiild was I wrong, let’s just say, I am still resolving the trauma the decade brought me but I am grateful because I met my best friends and made decisions for the future I wanted to have. (Spoiler alert - I did better than I dreamed).
1996 - 9, (Home, Zambia) this was my birthday but my little sister insisted she had to be the one in the middle. The only way we knew whose birthday it was, was by standing in the middle but this year I remember baby sister crying her eyes out and refusing 🤨

Thank you 2016 Sponsors { A Year Roundup}

Thank you 2016 sponsors from the bottom of my heart, you have no idea how much of an impact you’ve had on my life. Blogging was never something I thought I would or could earn money from, you’ve helped me turn this lovely hobby into a business. For that I am forever grateful, I try to show my thanks monthly in the end of month dedication posts. This still doesn’t seem enough to me so here I am sharing a year round applause to all I worked with in 2016. Thank you 2016 sponsors so much for opening my eyes to the world of possibilities and friendships.

Thank you 2016 sponsors

Thank you 2016  Sponsors ~ Q1

January 2016: First month of the year, full of endless possibilities and promises for the next 12 months. No one knew what the year would shape out to be until January started to give us an idea. Being the first month of the year has its perks and I was fortunate enough to work with several companies and PRs during this time.

Companies/PRs: Columbus Direct Insurance/ ASDM Beverly Hills/ Click Basin/ Flight centre and many more

February 2016: The month of love was an exciting time, still considered ‘new year time’ but a host to what is to come. Funny thing was during the love month none of my collaborations where around the celebrated and declared day of love. But I managed to get a lot of love during the month from a huge brand like House of Fraser and many more.

March 2016: To end the first quarter of the year, I was happy to collaborate with some old and new sponsors. I was happy to be abl to collaborate with House of Fraser again and be introduced to Butterfly Twists. This gave me such huge ambitions after these collaborations and though I did not lose my cool it was nice to share it with y’all.

Thank you 2016 Sponsors ~ Q2

April 2016: The start of the new quarter brought its only promises as I was able to collaborate with House of Fraser again. I mentioned in my recent featured brand how amazing and humbling experience it is to work with a brand time and again. The fun of collaborations was only beginning and I was able to collaborate with several well-known and unknown brands.

Companies/PRs: House of Fraser/ Dunedin Cashmere/ Quizz Clothing/ Daniel Footwear and many more.

May 2016: So it turns out during this month I must have been completely out of it as I forgot to put together a Thank you May sponsors post. Obviously the month has already passed but with this opportunity I will share some of the awesome sponsors I worked with. House of Fraser, put together a lovely history of jewellery infographic. Detox May I shared the Acai Berry Food supplements I was trying out as apart of my detox routine. Brantano was final brand I worked with when I put the holiday outfit ideas together which was well received.

June 2016: I could not have asked for a better way to end the 2nd quarter if I tried. I was fortunate enough to work with Butterfly Twists again on another collaboration. When they reached out to me and sent me Wellington Boots, I was over the moon (still am). I was then able to work with other companies like: S-point a car tyre company then collaborated with Shoppers top and my deals. On the Fashion front I collaborated with Esprit and The Glasses Shop, and managed to snack up on some Urban Fruits.

Thank you 2016 sponsors ~ Q 3

July 2016 sponsors

July 2016: The start of Q3 was a busy one so much that I forgot again to thank my wonderful sponsors who I will mention now. I was fortunate to collaborate with Panasonic again and share FOBA, fear of being away {mostly from home due to my many travels}. Bahlsen Biscuits travel pack was sent to me by a PR company, since I already loved this company I was happy to collaborate. I showed you how to impress your date  and showed off my Birthday presents with House of Fraser. July was a truly busy month with so many collaborations that I encourage you to check out HERE.

August 2016: With all the crazy {good} happenings in my life at that point, I decided to take 2 weeks off blogging. Though I had lovely collaborations with companies and PRs, it was not the same as other months but I am still grateful.

September 2016: By end of Q3 I had started to get my blogging mojo back but not my memory as I had forgotten to do sponsors post. I was again fortunate to collaborate with house of Fraser, Panasonic, curtains curtains curtains who sent me lovely curtains.

Thank you 2016 Sponsors ~ Q4

November 2016 sponsors

October 2016: Starting Q4 was a sure sign the year is coming to an end but not for collaborations. I was fortunate to collaborate with Bidvine, try a mint coffee scrub and show off a pair of new sunglasses in autumn sun. The rest of the collaborations for the month where guest posts with how to stay warm this winter being my favourite.

November 2016: One of my biggest collaborations thus far was with Leesa Mattress who sent me a mattress to try out and keep. I was also able to collaborate with Brantano again who sent me a lovely pair of ankle boots.  As a regular traveler IHG was a company I was happy to feature on the blog. I worked with so many brands and companies it was unbelievably busy time for me.

December 2016: Whilst I am still compiling my list of sponsors for this month, I still wanted to say a huge thank you to my December sponsors whose truly made my month and christmas extra special. I will be doing a separate post for December sponsors so do not worry I won’t be leaving you out. I will however mention Lee Stafford Academy straightener #giveaway which ONLY UK readers can enter.

For those who wish to collaborate with A July Dreamer {aka me}, please check out my work with me page for more information.

Again a HUGE and Hearty Thank you 2016 Sponsors!!!
