Looking back at each decade, I feel both ‘older’ and ‘younger’, I see the change in my features, the change in my way of life, the change in my personality and the experience itched on my face. I am grateful for the life I have lived thus far and excited for the life I am yet to live.
••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••

2026 - 39, (Home, England), I am ready for this final year before my 40s but also ready for this next decade.
2016 - 29, (Oslo, Norway), this decade was about self discovery and building the life I dreamt about. The life that I am super proud of and truly grateful to be living. This decade, I built my financial life and in later years choose to heal from the trauma gained in the last decade and now I feel well equipped for the future.
2006 - 19, (Glasgow, Scotland), I thought I was grown (look at the cheekbones 🤣🤣) and ready for the world, chiiiild was I wrong, let’s just say, I am still resolving the trauma the decade brought me but I am grateful because I met my best friends and made decisions for the future I wanted to have. (Spoiler alert - I did better than I dreamed).
1996 - 9, (Home, Zambia) this was my birthday but my little sister insisted she had to be the one in the middle. The only way we knew whose birthday it was, was by standing in the middle but this year I remember baby sister crying her eyes out and refusing 🤨
1988 - 9 months, (Chililabombwe, Zambia) although my mother looks tired and traumatised😟, I know I was loved and happy.

Five Things Week 6 {+Giveaway}

Five Things Week 6, not sure how we managed to reach day 3 already of December 2016. I know I say this all the time but honestly 2016 has just flown by. This year was one of those years that when I am old and grown will reminisce about. I will tell my children’s child (God willing) that is the year your granny realised she was more than capable.

The end of the month for most bloggers is always one that is rushed and always busy. This week was that for me, some good news and some sucky news all in one. But they say it’s all about balance in life and I guess I got that in equal measure.

Five Things Week 6

Five Things I did

  • Worked 90% from home this week, I had so much to do plus and glad I have such a flex working environment
  • Met someone new, it is always interesting and fascinating for me to meet new people
  • I baked, twice and the cakes where not that bad. Edible for sure.
  • Accepted mum’s invite to a Christmas party in two weeks
  • I manage to miss and cancel all my gym classes due to my busy schedule

Five Great Things to Happen

  • Received my results for my first master’s program assignment and I got a first.
  • I managed to treat myself during the black friday deals and bought a canon camera
  • Another pair of ankle boots arrived, this time from House of Fraser. I can not wait to review and share them on the blog
  • Newchic contacted me for a collaboration and I picked a few items from their online shop. I will be sharing those in the upcoming few weeks.
  • Blog page views spiked up like no man’s business. Not sure what I did differently but I am very happy regardless

Five Things that sucked

  • The weather, need I say more? Not sure what happened but this entire week it has been absolutely freezing.
  • I gave something a try but it didn’t work out, I was gutted and it sucked.
  • Car I wanted has been sold and no one told me
  • A few disappointments from close friends and I am struggling to deal with it.
  • I have not hot water in my bathroom, landlord is working on it though.

Five Things to Happen next week

  • Preparation for the driving test is going good
  • Next Friday I fly to Nice, France. I am yet to make my itinerary.
  • Thursday we have a work Christmas party and secret santa, I need to buy a present
  • Book Monday – Thursday gym class as I missed all of this week.
  • Start searching for a car again

And there you have it, Five Things Week 6 was nothing special but such is life. How was your week? Anything fun/awesome happen or anything that sucked (misery loves company).

Since I love you all too much, I am share a giveaway being run by FolliOne. The anti-hair loss company who I collaborated with in November. Enter the competition using the rafflecopter below.

I love that you got to work from home this week as I always get more done when I’m at home. Unfortunately for me I’ve been out and about everyday this week. I’m so tired!! xx

I hope your good things get better and the things that sucked improve. As for the thing you tried that didn’t work out, it’s great that you at least tried.
