Looking back at each decade, I feel both ‘older’ and ‘younger’, I see the change in my features, the change in my way of life, the change in my personality and the experience itched on my face. I am grateful for the life I have lived thus far and excited for the life I am yet to live.

2026 - 39, (Home, England), I am ready for this final year before my 40s but also ready for this next decade.
2016 - 29, (Oslo, Norway), this decade was about self discovery and building the life I dreamt about. The life that I am super proud of and truly grateful to be living. This decade, I built my financial life and in later years choose to heal from the trauma gained in the last decade and now I feel well equipped for the future.
2006 - 19, (Glasgow, Scotland), I thought I was grown (look at the cheekbones 🤣🤣) and ready for the world, chiiiild was I wrong, let’s just say, I am still resolving the trauma the decade brought me but I am grateful because I met my best friends and made decisions for the future I wanted to have. (Spoiler alert - I did better than I dreamed).
1996 - 9, (Home, Zambia) this was my birthday but my little sister insisted she had to be the one in the middle. The only way we knew whose birthday it was, was by standing in the middle but this year I remember baby sister crying her eyes out and refusing 🤨
1988 - 9 months, (Chililabombwe, Zambia) although my mother looks tired and traumatised😟, I know I was loved and happy.

{GBU} The Happening ~ WEEK FIVE

EVERYTHING

Hi there and welcome to week five of The Happening, the Good, the Bad and the Ugly. I wanted to thank you all for the amazing comments on all my GBU posts and every other posts. I just love sharing my week with you guys, it’s sort of therapy for me to put an appreciation to my life and remember its not the end of the world when something doesn’t go my way and also to remind me to be thankful for all the small blessings because when I really put them together they are more than any ugly anytime.

This week’s GBU I think only has the good since whatever I think is bad can not change the mood I am in currently, so let’s get into this weeks GBU.

The Good

1. As most of you know next week Wednesday I am flying to Seoul for a week, I can not wait. I am not sure if I will be able to do the next two GBU posts but as I mentioned in my 5 essential travel items for a blogger and 10 essential things to carry in your hand luggage I will have my chromebook with me so if internet is not an issue I will definitely blog.

5 Blogger

2. My New look gift card from work arrived this week and I have managed to pick up some few items (bikini top (similar), sandals (similar)) for my holiday next week.

3. Got another opportunity to work with a few brands that I love, reviews coming soon on the blog.

4. We are 3 weeks away from my SIL’s hen do and 4 weeks from the wedding date.

The Bad

1. Not been feeling too well this week so wanted to visit my local GP but I can not because it takes 3 days to get put on there system and I was hoping to visit them before my holiday next week.

The Ugly

1. I think mother nature might attempt to ruin my holiday next week, calculated my days and what do you know expected date – the day I am meant to fly out.

Thank you for your love.

How has your week been so far?

That seems to be the way nature always works out. It is like it knows you have plans and bam, tries to ruin them.

I’m sure that trip will be amazing no matter what. Have a great time.
