Looking back at each decade, I feel both ‘older’ and ‘younger’, I see the change in my features, the change in my way of life, the change in my personality and the experience itched on my face. I am grateful for the life I have lived thus far and excited for the life I am yet to live.

2026 - 39, (Home, England), I am ready for this final year before my 40s but also ready for this next decade.
2016 - 29, (Oslo, Norway), this decade was about self discovery and building the life I dreamt about. The life that I am super proud of and truly grateful to be living. This decade, I built my financial life and in later years choose to heal from the trauma gained in the last decade and now I feel well equipped for the future.
2006 - 19, (Glasgow, Scotland), I thought I was grown (look at the cheekbones 🤣🤣) and ready for the world, chiiiild was I wrong, let’s just say, I am still resolving the trauma the decade brought me but I am grateful because I met my best friends and made decisions for the future I wanted to have. (Spoiler alert - I did better than I dreamed).
1996 - 9, (Home, Zambia) this was my birthday but my little sister insisted she had to be the one in the middle. The only way we knew whose birthday it was, was by standing in the middle but this year I remember baby sister crying her eyes out and refusing 🤨

{GBU} THE HAPPENING WEEK TWENTY ONE

Answered

Hi there and welcome to week twenty one of the The Happening, the Good the Bad and the Ugly {GBU}. It’s funny to think we almost halfway into August when it just started. 2015 for me is certainly moving really fast and honestly I do like it like this as even though it’s moving too fast I have been appreciating each day as it comes and loving all the things that I have been able to accomplish so far.

Not to flog a dead horse but down to business

The Good

Last week Saturday was my sister’s birthday so she asked if she could borrow my apartment for the weekend, basically she kicked me out of my own place so I had to find somewhere to go and I went to Boo’s place.

I have been talking a lot about taking some time out and just chillaxing so Saturday presented itself to be just that, Boo is still away but I was able to stay at his place and just do NOTHING like nothing. I had a lot of me time and I do feel a bit refreshed.

Sunday my sister told me she was going to stay over and had a nice evening (she cooked) and I made her sleep on the sofa bed whilst I enjoyed my own bed 🙂

The Bad

Mother nature called and I answered, I can not tell you how annoying and painful this is for me, I know every woman finds their own rhythm but it does not look like I ever will. I have taken all the pain killers known to man and after a couple months they all stop working. Maybe Boo is right I should go back to exercising (hahaha) nah 🙂 maybe.

The Ugly

Other people’s incompetence and that’s all I am saying.

How has your week been so far? Do anything exciting?

Wow, I don’t think I’d ever let my siblings kick me out of my own house, lol. At least you got to relax, though.

Your sister kicking you out of your own house makes me think about my brother who borrowed our old, run down SUV to go camping and brought back a brand new 2014 version as a birthday present. Very sweet! 🙂

It’s been a busy week for me. It’s great that even if you got kicked out, you were able to spend some time at your boo’s place and enjoy nothing. Sometimes, we need those nothings to rest and recover.

Yeah, mother nature calls and it stinks. I like to drink chamomile tea when I have bad cramps. It helps out a little with the discomfort. And incompetent people drive me crazy!!!

Mother nature stinks. We’ve had family in town. We have been getting a lot of projects done with them, but we are definitely keeping our bedroom door shut at all times because it is an absolute mess haha!!
