Looking back at each decade, I feel both ‘older’ and ‘younger’, I see the change in my features, the change in my way of life, the change in my personality and the experience itched on my face. I am grateful for the life I have lived thus far and excited for the life I am yet to live.

2026 - 39, (Home, England), I am ready for this final year before my 40s but also ready for this next decade.
2016 - 29, (Oslo, Norway), this decade was about self discovery and building the life I dreamt about. The life that I am super proud of and truly grateful to be living. This decade, I built my financial life and in later years choose to heal from the trauma gained in the last decade and now I feel well equipped for the future.
2006 - 19, (Glasgow, Scotland), I thought I was grown (look at the cheekbones 🤣🤣) and ready for the world, chiiiild was I wrong, let’s just say, I am still resolving the trauma the decade brought me but I am grateful because I met my best friends and made decisions for the future I wanted to have. (Spoiler alert - I did better than I dreamed).
1996 - 9, (Home, Zambia) this was my birthday but my little sister insisted she had to be the one in the middle. The only way we knew whose birthday it was, was by standing in the middle but this year I remember baby sister crying her eyes out and refusing 🤨
1988 - 9 months, (Chililabombwe, Zambia) although my mother looks tired and traumatised😟, I know I was loved and happy.

{Favourites} Top 5 posts of January 2016

January 2016

Last year I made a decision to survey my blog every month and check which posts were doing well on the blog, which could do with some improvements and which were not well received. January was a very busy and productive month for me both personally and blog wise. I have managed to tick Prague off my travel bucketlist (but I will be going again) and also managed to achieve a goal of saving all monies earned on the blog.

I am very pleased with my self but not to get too carried way here are the top 5 posts of January 2016

Fashion Travel Essentials – I have shared many a times how much I love putting outfits together and sharing them and to know that you’re enjoying these types of posts as much as I am creating them makes me really happy and I am grateful to all m readers new and old alike.

Lifestyle Tips to renew your bathroom – This post was written mostly by my SIL because she and my brother had just moved back to their old place and there was some fixer upper that required some attention and the bathroom post seemed like a good idea and I am glad I asked her expertise as you all loved it.

2016 Winter Face routine – One thing I am hugely proud of since I started blogging is how much I care for my skin. Before I never used to worry about chemicals in my products and if I did it was not to the extent it is now or I just lacked knowledge so I never bothered. I try a variety of products but mostly natural products which protect my face whatever the weather. My Face routine has changed big time since I started blogging and hope to improve it even further in the future using some amazing products on the market.

Prague Weekend Getaway – Visiting Praha (as the locals call Prague) was an experience on its own, the weather was not favourable but our attitudes were and we had so much fun. Every time I see snow I think of the fun we had in Praha and for me that’s what weekend getaways are all about. Creating memories in the shortest period of time.

Fashion Monday – A Blue & Green Day – This was a surprise to me as the most popular one was the Black & Beige Fashion post for that entire week but I guess throughout the month people preferred this outfit. I always say to people I dress in the dark and rarely do I take time to plan out my outfits. Both the Black & Beige outfit and this Blue & Green Day outfit were spur of the moment types of outfits. I have an open closet so it is easy to see what I have and what I fancy wearing that morning.

Putting this post together has really helped me to see what posts and working and which are not working and thank you my wonderful readers for always checking out my blog. I am always happy to hear your suggestions on what types of posts you would like to see more of.

For a daily dose of Travel posts check out my Instagram where I share the millions pictures I take on my weekend getaways.

Let me know in the comments which of these of your favorite post in January.

This is a great idea! I think making a note of your popular posts each month really does help you to see whats working and what isn’t, and even pick up on seasonal trends ready for next year. Love the fashion travel essentials!
