As a serial snacker, I have struggled to find snacks that are both healthy and will satisfy my sweet cravings other than fruits. Over the last couple of months, I have been wanting something different like no-bake healthy energy balls and thanks to my collaboration with BWFO I am sharing my favourite no-bake recipe for energy bites.
No-bake healthy energy balls are exactly that, healthy, jam-packed with energy and require no baking. As much as I love to bake various goodies, I also want snacks that are easy to make, have nutritional value, portable and taste delicious. What I love about our no-bake healthy energy balls is that they are customizable and very easy to make.

No-Bake Healthy Energy Balls
Energy balls are all the rage of late because they are not only easy to make but they are good for you and are typically jam-packed with healthy carbs & fats, protein and fibre. I love energy bites because they are easily customizable and make for the perfect ‘guilt-free on the go snack or a pre/post-workout snack.
Even though energy bites are healthier than most snacks, everything should be taken in moderation. For those hoping to lose or maintain their weight, you need to monitor your calorie consumption. Depending on the ingredients used, the energy balls can differ in nutritional value.
Our no-bake healthy energy balls are made from four simple ingredients and take absolutely delicious. Knowing what is in the food you consume has become such an important requirement of late. Most food manufactures add loads of sugar as a preservative and sweetness which is not good for you it is why I make my own snacks.

Now that we know the nutritional value of the ingredients contained in our energy bites, it’s time to learn how to make these delicious tasting snacks on the go bites. From the title, you can surmise that we won’t have to bake them but they do need to be put in the fridge.
How to Make Energy Balls
Regardless of what kind of ingredients you’re using, making energy balls should take more than 30 minutes or 15 minutes if you skip the fridge part. If you have never made energy balls before and not sure about how much of each ingredient you will need then read on.
- Oats – 1 cup
- Peanut butter – 2 tablespoon full
- Chia Seeds – 1 tablespoon
- Honey – 1.5 tablespoons
All the is required now is to mix all these ingredients in a blender or by hand {I prefer by hand} and then store the dough in the fridge for 20 minutes. I have found that when I store then in the fridge for that long they stick well together than if they are not. Once you remove them from the fridge, you then roll them up into small balls and they are ready to be eaten.
Energy bites are the best easy to make and on the go snacks that you can eat guilt free knowing exactly what ingredients went in.

My other half would love these. I absolutely hate peanut butter, which sucks as it’s so great for protein snacks and I’m currently training a lot. I wonder if you could use a different nut butter to make these with?
