One of my fondest memories growing in Zambia was watching football with my family, it was always an interesting and intense time especially if Zambia was playing against South Africa. We are Zambians and my uncle is South African, football addicts will tell you during the match there is no family relationship each to their own team. I remember one time when Zambia beat South Africa (I think it was 4-0), my uncle did not speak to any of us and just left and went to his home. For me this was the funniest thing ever as I found it to be a very special time spent with my family and extended family (though relations were/are not recognised during the match).
Coming to England, our South African uncle lives here too and sometimes stays over at my parents when his working in Cambridge. Him and my dad have this fascination with football it really bypasses my train of thought, for me I like to enjoy a good match now and again but I wouldn’t really say I was a hardcore football fan. That being said, I would like to introduce you to Enjore – a software program which helps users organise football and Futsal leagues and tournaments.
Encore is described as a web platform that tournament organisers can use to manage all sports competitions including football and Tennis. This program has only recently arrived in the UK but is used worldwide already especially in European countries where it has become a leader amongst sports communities. The beauty about Enjore is that it is free to use, tournament organisers can sign up and enter whatever tournaments, in the future Enjore will be introducing premium packages to cater for the growing community with over a 100,000 registered users. I am loving this program because I think schools, colleges and even regional clubs can use this software and enter their upcoming tournaments and remove the hassle early on. If the school uses this program, they can enter in advance the upcoming tournaments, parents would have access to the program and will see what is upcoming for their child and plan accordingly. Another beauty of this web platform is that you can access it on mobile phones, upload photos & videos, share results, vote, leave comments (could even be about the player’s performance) and for organisers assign different people for different tasks and view stats about the team and players plus manage the team in general.

I think its a great idea for schools, although monkey is not at school yet with two kids potentially doing different sports in differ year groups coordination is key. This would definitely help!

Growing up with 2 brothers and a football mad dad, it was only inevitable I would enjoy the odd game or two. I love the euros and World Cup, but I’m not too bothered about regular football x
