Summer Travel Must Haves

With the amazing summer that we’ve been experiencing so far in the UK, I am sure all of us are making plans to ditch the house andย head for the beach or have a pool in your yard.ย Whether you’re going on road trips, flying to another destination orย just heading down to the nearest beach. We all need a summer travel must haves list so that we are best prepared to enjoy this glorious weather.

Most of my readers know I am always on the move, if I have a free weekend and the blog hasย generated some income, I am outta here exploring whatever country in Europe I can. This coming weekend I am headed to Copenhagen and I figured it was the perfect time for me to share my summer travel must haves.

Summer travel must haves

When I am planning a trip (especially abroad), I always have to think about bringing my favourite products with me in travel size bottles. When I was a novice traveler, I made a mistake of carrying one of my favorite products in a big bottle 250ml even though there was only enough product for the weekend but they made me throw it aware or pay ยฃ40 to check in my hand luggage, since then I have been careful about bringing large bottles if I am not checking in any bags.

Beauty Products – Last weekend whilst waiting for my train home after a meal with some church friends, I managed to pick up the Red magazine which had The Organic Pharmacy travel size goodies bag. Though I had not tried this brand’s products before I am looking forward to using these products whilst I am on the move.

Reading or entertainment material – One of the many reasons I bought the Red magazine was to have something to keep me company during my transit home, my travel to Manchester Airport and then my return from Copenhagen. It is always a good idea to include entertainment materials on your summer travel must haves list, especially for those who either get bored really easily or have kids. It is also important to carry some music with you especially on long journeys.

Snacks – When I travel, there are certain things that I need to always have with me anything from ear plugs and eye masks to deliciousย snacks. So imagine my delight when I received a parcel from a lovely PR company to try out the Pick Up! biscuits by Bahlsen. I had tried other Pick Up!ย biscuits before from my Degustabox sometime last yet and I always try buy them when I can.

Mini Review of Pick Up Biscuits

Pick Up! is launching these mini fun size versions of the popular Pick Up! biscuits this August, adding two more varieties of biscuits to the Pickย Up! family; the classic Milk Chocolate and the kids favourite Choco & Milk. The sandwich type biscuits have a thick delicious coat of milk chocolate and for the choco & milk biscuits an extra irresistible milk cream filling. I must say these are really delicious so much that, the two big bags (containing 10 mini biscuits each) were finished in one sitting because I couldn’t put them down nor stop licking my fingers. The only ones left are in this mini travel kit the lovely PR people prepared for me to take on my next adventure. The Pick Up! Minis will be available from Tesco, Waitrose, Costcutter, Palmer & Harvey, RRP ยฃ1.29 for 10 individually wrapped portions

Comfortable footwear – It does not matter where you’re jetting off to, driving to etc I believe in always having comfortable footwear as part of your summer travel must haves list. I know this weekend I will be doing a lot of sightseeing which will involve a lot of walking so it makes sense for me to pack suitable and comfortable footwear. I recently purchased some lovely trainers from Primark which are surprising good value for money and they are so comfortable.

There are many items that I always think of when I am traveling and though some are dictated by the destination, I believe the above items in my summer travel must haves list are essential items to always have handy when you’re traveling.

What items would you include in your summer travel must haves list? Have you ever tried the Bahlsen’s Pick Up! biscuits? Any plans for this weekend?

I wish we had been experiencing a great summer, it’s been constant rain here and it’s been so cold some days. Distraction activities are brilliant! I really like the travel essentials.
