Looking back at each decade, I feel both ‘older’ and ‘younger’, I see the change in my features, the change in my way of life, the change in my personality and the experience itched on my face. I am grateful for the life I have lived thus far and excited for the life I am yet to live.

2026 - 39, (Home, England), I am ready for this final year before my 40s but also ready for this next decade.
2016 - 29, (Oslo, Norway), this decade was about self discovery and building the life I dreamt about. The life that I am super proud of and truly grateful to be living. This decade, I built my financial life and in later years choose to heal from the trauma gained in the last decade and now I feel well equipped for the future.
2006 - 19, (Glasgow, Scotland), I thought I was grown (look at the cheekbones 🤣🤣) and ready for the world, chiiiild was I wrong, let’s just say, I am still resolving the trauma the decade brought me but I am grateful because I met my best friends and made decisions for the future I wanted to have. (Spoiler alert - I did better than I dreamed).
1996 - 9, (Home, Zambia) this was my birthday but my little sister insisted she had to be the one in the middle. The only way we knew whose birthday it was, was by standing in the middle but this year I remember baby sister crying her eyes out and refusing 🤨
1988 - 9 months, (Chililabombwe, Zambia) although my mother looks tired and traumatised😟, I know I was loved and happy.

The Curated wardrobe ~ Bags

The curated closet is a wardrobe that has everything you need and is tailored to your personal style. Unlike a capsule which can be a seasonal or following trend, a curated wardrobe is based entirely on you. The idea of a curated closet has been around for years now, unfortunately, it hadn’t reached me. It did take its sweet time but I love when I discover things that I can implement in my life. Whilst change is not easy most of the time it is necessary and needed.

curated wardrobe

Regular readers know that part of my goals is to declutter my home every 6 weeks. Well, the last 24 weeks had proved to be a little bit of a challenge due to constant travel. I realized for the last 6 weeks I had accumulated more stuff than I needed and was due for a nice decluttering session. Knowing I would be off to Zambia to attend my friend’s wedding, I made a point of giving away 70% of my closet. I can say I am definitely in a happy place now and can share with you my curated closet. Though for this feature I am only focusing on bags as I have enough to last me a long time.

The Curated wardrobe ~ Bags

You don’t have to search my blog to know that I am an avid traveller and been at it for a couple of years now. I am enjoying it so much that I put together my very own version of 30 countries before Thirty. Aside from travelling I love sharing fashion outfits ideas that I myself have tried or would love to. Those who know me personally know I know my bags and there is no such thing as too many bags.

Recently I did a little shopping and picked up The Office and Errands {similar} bags from JustFab. I am absolutely loving these two bags as they are so fit for purpose and are absolutely gorgeous. The design is devastatingly on point and reminded me of my first love for JustFab as a company. As I said there is no such thing as too many bag hence why I am loving the Tumi briefcase. I am someone who’s always on the go and makes sense to have sturdy and strong bags. The next item I have fallen in love with is a cute on a night-out bag. Well technically it’s a wallet but it’s cute and would look awesome on a night out.

I have many different types of bags but they all fall into four categories. Work {The Office},Night-out, Errands and  Travel {The Traveler} bags. Speaking of travel I am a huger sucker for leather luggage and currently, I am still using my MAHI bag.

I love the concept of a curated wardrobe. It’s so much better to have a few quality bags for each occasion than having a load of bags that are quite useless.

I’m fond of sling bags but with more space because I wants to keep my hands free. I also like the errand bag for dumping everything that I need!

I go through different stages with bags. I prefer to use a clutch bag when running errands or doing a date night. When my son was younger I used a errand bag a lot.
