7 THINGS TO DO AROUND LONDON BRIDGE IN WINTER
As a blogger, I spend much of my time in London attending meetings and press events, which also means I rarely have time to explore the city at large. Recently I was invited to experience day trips from London, this inspired me to make time to explore the English capital and when the opportunity arose to explore the London Bridge area, I couldn’t accept fast enough. The city of London is one that with every visit, I find myself learning more and more about things to do in our nations capital.
London Bridge is an area of London that I have rarely spent time in, my last visit was a few years ago when we toured Shakespeare’s Globe. We vowed to return but time has run away from us, I am glad this opportunity came along that allowed us this chance to explore other parts of London Bridge. Outside of the Globe, the one place I wanted to visit in London was the Shard and have breakfast with an incredible view but unfortunately the weather was horrid with bad visibility, so I saved my ticket and can not wait to return.

BREAKFAST AT THE SHARD
The Shard formerly London Bridge Tower is a 96 storey skyscraper building and the tallest building in the UK is located in London Bridge. The building is comprised of offices, hotel, apartments and the viewing deck, if you’re in search of the most beautiful views of London then the Shard is where you can get some of the best in the capital.

SAY A PRAYER AT THE STUNNING SOUTHWARK CATHEDRAL
Lying on the south bank of the River Thames, Southwark Cathedral is an Anglican Cathedral and the mother church of the Anglican Diocese of Southwark. The Cathedral is one of the oldest in the UK and it is situated close to Borough Market. If you love history and want to learn about the church, tours are available.
ENJOY THE VIEWS FROM THE TOWER BRIDGE
The tower bridge is a suspension bridge that crosses the Thames River and connects to the Tower of London. With the glass floor, the tower bridge is an iconic monument in London and a must visit when visiting the English capital. From London Bridge station, its a mere 10 minute walk and on your way can glance at the shard and various restaurants.

EXPERIENCE HMS BELFAST
Built in 1936 and commissioned in 1939, His Majesty’s Ship Belfast is a Town-class light cruiser that was built for the Royal Navy and today stands as an imperial war museum. For less than £18, you can tour the ship and learn about the only WWII surviving cruiser. The HMS Belfast is a 6 minute walk from The Shard and London Bridge station and 4 minutes walk to Tower Bridge.
SHOP TILL YOU DROP AT BOROUGH MARKET
Borough Market is the largest and oldest food and drinks market in London, it dates back to the 12th century and it is the place to be. It is open everyday except for Sunday and it is a source of British and international produce. The market is located along side Southwark Cathedral and a short walk from London Bridge station.
WATCH A PLAY AT SHAKESPEARE’S GLOBE
Shakespeare’s Globe is a world-renowned performing arts venue located along the Thames River in London Bridge. The Globe is dedicated to celebrating Shakespeare’s work and his life, there are tours available which are very informative and we highly recommend them.
London is such a great city to visit weather for a day trip or for longer, there is so much to do within the city. If you’ve not visited London Bridge then I hope this itinerary will be useful as you plan your visit to this incredible part of the English Capital. Have you ever explored London Bridge area?

I am actually going to be around there on Friday and I heard that there is a small Christmas market just off London Bridge station. I don’t like Winter Wonderland, it’s too huge, so I will probably have my mulled wine here or in Borough Market.
