As a lifestyle and travel blogger, I am fortunate to be able to earn passive income from my blog. It took me some time before I started making money from my blog. I quickly learnt that I needed to set up a way for clients to pay me for services rendered. This is one of the many things a blogger needs to have in place if you intend to make money.
It is also a good idea to learn how to get more blog views which usually translate into more clients. Try using this local seo company as a starter working through the Search Engine Optimisation (SEO). With high blog views and other blog stats, I started to make some money from this blog. I also quickly learnt that I needed to set up a way for clients to pay me for services rendered. y
Another thing that I learnt a couple of years into blogging was I needed help and hired a VA (Virtual Assistant). But this came with its own challenges, finding ways to send them money for work done. Here are some of the ways I do it and you can too.
Use your bank
If you’re based in the same country as your VA or clients that you need to pay, use your bank. Some banks have better rates and others don’t charge fees to pay someone within the same country. But always check with your bank for any other charges they might apply.
Use Transfer Rapid
If you’re like me and have VAs and clients living abroad, then you need a dedicated service. Transfer Rapid is one such service you can consider to send money abroad. It is an inexpensive but secure service that allows you to perform money transfer to Romania.
Set-up PayPal Business
Even before I started blogging I had PayPal to send and receive money to/from abroad. I decided to set up PayPal business to utilise the services the free one doesn’t offer like invoice creation. But it’s another way I use to send money abroad, the only down side are the ridiculous fees. Unless you’re in the same country, you don’t normally get charged fees to send money.
Benefits of making money online
When I started blogging, I honestly thought it was a nice space to moan and no one to talk back. But then I got into it and realised its potential and thought, why I don’t I share what I love. I did and here I am years later sharing my Fashion ideas and Travels Adventures around the world. One thing that I am grateful for with blogging is the ability to support others including an old schoolmate.
In a few weeks time I will be celebrating 5 years of blogging, to be honest its shocking I have lasted this long. There has been times when I had been stuck for ideas of what to talk about on the blog. But not once have I ever thought about quitting it all and finding another hobby. And one of the many reasons is because, the passive income supports my other hobbies. But more than that, it helps me support my family as well as extended family abroad.

I use paypal for most of my payments. I am annoyed by the high fees (for my account it doesn’t matter where the payment comes from, the fee is always the same), but it’s such an easy system and you can keep all your invoices in one place, which helps a lot with the tax at the end of the year.
