Vienna ~ Its all in the building
Earlier in the year, I took a trip to Brno in Czech Republic and somehow found myself exploring Vienna. The originall plan was to spend 3.5 days in Brno but I managed to explore the entire city it in one day. I decided to use the remainder 2.5 days wisely by exploring neighbouring cities one of which was Vienna. Vienna is a city which is really close to Brno, takes under 2 hours on the bus to reach.
If you’re anything like me and get really itchy feet you too would have taken the opportunity to visit Vienna. One of the many thing that stood out for me about Vienna was the architecture. Vienna is filled with so many beautiful and magnificent architectural buildings, its really all in the buildings. The architectural beauty had me gripped from the word go and I couldn’t stop admiring the place.

Must See architectural buildings in Vienna
The first building that captured my attention when I got to Vienna was near the Naschmarkt market. I often look back on my pictures that I took and I am always amazed at the beauty of these buildings. After getting lost in Naschmarkt and picking up some delicious treats, I then ventured to Resselpark.
Resselpark was not your typical park in any sense of the word but I loved it.Getting of the train and turning left you will be faced with the beautiful cathedral which took all the glory. There is no two ways about it as it is such an amazingly built buidling which was maganifect to explore in the winter. After mum admiration and snapping, I then went off to the left side of the Catherdal and this took me to the Soviet War Memorial.
The Soviet War Memorial definitely reduced me to tears when I read/googled through the pillars and observed the buildings surrounding. It was a nice place to visit, everything so peaceful, beautiful and calm. From the war memorial, I walked back to Resselpark where I grabbed a train to Schonbrunn Palace.
Schonbrunn Palace is a must visit place for anyone visiting Vienna. Make sure to walk all the way to the back of the palace and get up top to get the best view of the entire grounds.
Museums Quarter is another amazing place I visited which took my breath away. I spent so much time drooling over the architecture and forgot to snap some pictures. I did not manage to go inside any of the museums around the Museums Quarter. Though I wanted to check out the Leopold Museum-Privatstiftung, I still wouldn’t change a thing. The outside was just as beautiful and captivating as any museum inside I think am sure.
Have you ever visited a place just for its architectural beauty? Vienna for me was all in the buildings.
