Looking back at each decade, I feel both ‘older’ and ‘younger’, I see the change in my features, the change in my way of life, the change in my personality and the experience itched on my face. I am grateful for the life I have lived thus far and excited for the life I am yet to live.

2026 - 39, (Home, England), I am ready for this final year before my 40s but also ready for this next decade.
2016 - 29, (Oslo, Norway), this decade was about self discovery and building the life I dreamt about. The life that I am super proud of and truly grateful to be living. This decade, I built my financial life and in later years choose to heal from the trauma gained in the last decade and now I feel well equipped for the future.
2006 - 19, (Glasgow, Scotland), I thought I was grown (look at the cheekbones 🤣🤣) and ready for the world, chiiiild was I wrong, let’s just say, I am still resolving the trauma the decade brought me but I am grateful because I met my best friends and made decisions for the future I wanted to have. (Spoiler alert - I did better than I dreamed).
1996 - 9, (Home, Zambia) this was my birthday but my little sister insisted she had to be the one in the middle. The only way we knew whose birthday it was, was by standing in the middle but this year I remember baby sister crying her eyes out and refusing 🤨
1988 - 9 months, (Chililabombwe, Zambia) although my mother looks tired and traumatised😟, I know I was loved and happy.

{Monthly Roundup} Fashion Favourites October 2018

Fashion favourites October 2018 is a monthly roundup of favourite pieces have loved throughout October. In this article, I hope to share all the items that caught my eye and any recent purchases. We are all unique individuals and our shopping sense should reflect that.

The weather throughout October has been a mixture of autumnal bearings and winter blitz. It has been hard to pin down one Fashion Capsule to embrace, regardless, I have essentials to fall back on. In this Fashion Favourites October 2018 roundup, I will share a few essentials I have loved.

Fashion Favourites October 2018; What I loved

Throughout October I found myself gravitating more towards wintery clothes and a few times autumn pieces. A few times I pulled out my warmest clothing pieces signifying that winter is not far away. Thankfully, Simply Hike who sent me a nice hiker winter jacket that has been keeping me warm.

October has been one of the busiest months ever and I found myself visiting London every single weekend. London has the craziest weather so often we have to dress for every season in one day. I have been loving these Ankle Boots I picked up last month from JustFab. If you didn’t know already, I am a VIP member of JustFab and every so often I do a big haul from them. The ankle boots have been my favourite item from them this month.

Another thing I have been loving is my this Mustard Knit Snood I picked up from New Look. The colour is just perfect and it keeps me warm plus I bought it for £9.99 a nice price. There are other snood types of scarves that I own and often travel with them as they are easy to style. Except during summer, I always find myself wearing snood scarves and love pairing them with skinny jeans. I would even go as far as to say, snood scarves are a staple piece in my wardrobe.

Fashion Favourites October 2018; Autumn Fashion

Though October has felt more winter than autumn, its still Autumn and I put together some relevant articles. Not to be neglectful, I made sure to share at least one winter related Fashion post. For the Fashion Favourites October 2018, here are the few articles I put together.

I am someone who doesn’t like the cold and to combat that I shared some of my favourite autumn jackets. Sometimes when the weather is nice and the sun is shining it’s easier to forget that autumn is often cooler. The jackets that I include can also be transitioned into winter with a sleeve top inside.

With winter fast approaching I thought it prudent to share some of the winter essentials for women. I am a strong believer that every woman should have certain items which she considers essentials. Whilst these might defer per person and per region, some are similar.

And finally, I shared tips on how you can style you ankle boots whatever your preference. If you want to learn how to style your ankle boots with a skirt or dress, then check out the post. Most of us love pairing them with jeans, we’ve got that covered too.

I love colder weather. My biggest weakness it knitwear. How many cardigans does a girl really need? Well, apparently the answer is lots!

I do love the colder months so I can wrap up in my cosy clothing and go for sunny chilly walks. I love my down jacket to keep me warm

I think I’m pretty much sorted for autumn and winter. I did have to buy new jeans recently and have been wearing them with knits and my cons. I haven’t put my boots on yet but can’t be far off.

I’ve also been loving my ankle boots. I bought them this year and was surprised by how much I fell in love with them after years of wearing taller ones

I love that you made a good nod towards stylish ankle boots because for me Autumn is all about ankle boots – they can really make an outfit can’t they?
