Whenever I think about visiting the Lake District, my mind springs back the many summers of yesteryears. I had always wanted to visit the Lake District and last summer I finally visited with my family and it was absolutely glorious. Summer in the Lake District is truly wonderful but not once have I ever thought about visiting the Lake District in winter. Though the Lake District may have once been synonymous with the summer months, there really is no better time to take a well-deserved break to the Cumbrian countryside than the coming winter. With a crisp rolling landscape, cosy pubs and packed diary full of winter events, there’s something to please everyone in the Lakes.
