Looking back at each decade, I feel both ‘older’ and ‘younger’, I see the change in my features, the change in my way of life, the change in my personality and the experience itched on my face. I am grateful for the life I have lived thus far and excited for the life I am yet to live.
••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••

2026 - 39, (Home, England), I am ready for this final year before my 40s but also ready for this next decade.
2016 - 29, (Oslo, Norway), this decade was about self discovery and building the life I dreamt about. The life that I am super proud of and truly grateful to be living. This decade, I built my financial life and in later years choose to heal from the trauma gained in the last decade and now I feel well equipped for the future.
2006 - 19, (Glasgow, Scotland), I thought I was grown (look at the cheekbones 🤣🤣) and ready for the world, chiiiild was I wrong, let’s just say, I am still resolving the trauma the decade brought me but I am grateful because I met my best friends and made decisions for the future I wanted to have. (Spoiler alert - I did better than I dreamed).
1996 - 9, (Home, Zambia) this was my birthday but my little sister insisted she had to be the one in the middle. The only way we knew whose birthday it was, was by standing in the middle but this year I remember baby sister crying her eyes out and refusing 🤨
1988 - 9 months, (Chililabombwe, Zambia) although my mother looks tired and traumatised😟, I know I was loved and happy.

5 wardrobe essentials every woman should have

Wardrobe essentials are items or pieces of clothing that are a staple element in the closet. They are items that can be paired with practically everything and can exemplify an outfit. Wardrobe essentials do not need to be expensive but are those that make you feel good.

When it comes to Fashion everyone has their own individual style particularly Women as an extension of one’s personality. We know  enjoy expressing ourselves not only through the clothes we wear but our personal styling. No one woman looks the same even in the same piece of clothing. We are all different in shape, size, style and personalization of our clothing.Wardrobe Essentials

5 wardrobe essentials every woman should have

Fashion fits all is a statement I love because there is no one size fits all when it comes to Fashion. We all wear clothes differently and very much put our own stamp when styling. But even with that there are certain pieces that should be in every woman’s wardrobe. In this article we aim to share what we consider wardrobe essentials for every woman plus alternatives.

Black Leather (Faux) Jacket or Oversized Coat

Personally I think faux leather jacket are a staple item in every woman’s wardrobe but appreciate its not for everyone. Others prefer an oversized coat than a leather jacket, either way these two items I believe are essentials. I feel they give an outfit that edge plus can be dressed up or down.

Loafers or Heels

Over the years I have transitioned from heels to loafers, even though I own both, loafers all the way. They are comfortable, look real stylish and are so easy to style and exude elegance. I love wearing them to work, doing errands and even when going on a date.

Skinny Jeans or Mom Jeans

I am skinny jeans kind of girl but I appreciate the mom jeans which are always sexy buggy and I love that. They can be styled nice with a white t-shirt paired with some nice loafers and buckle belt. Or just pair them with a simple top and oversize coat and you’re ready to go.

Little Black Dress {LBD} Or or Maxi Skirt

As much as I love staring at my LBD I know it will be forever before I can get back into it. Therefore right now I am loving all my maxi skirts that I can style up or down. Often my maxi skirts or dress are often black and can be paired with most items in my closet.

Crossover Bag or Clutch Bag

Crossover bags are often associated with casual activities but I find they are easy to style smartly too. Clutch bags that I own are mostly for formal occasions which I think is perfect occasion to utilize it. A black clutch bag can be paired with practically all outfits in one’s closet and are a staple item.

What are some of the items that you have as wardrobe essentials in your closet?

I never had a leather jacket but I always wanted one. I think I forget when I’m shopping for clothes to look after one. And I just love crossover bags or tote bags.

I agree, a white dress is essential though I often keep those at the back as I am not good at keeping white items clean for long
