Arran Aromatics ~ it smells like Lavender

Arran Aromatics are a Scottish company based in Brodick on the Isle of Arran and considers itself the sense of Scotland. It is easy to understand why because this brand combines a breath of sea air, a pinch of seasoned wood and sprig of gorse. After a long day at work all I want is to have a quick shower before hitting the hay aka the bed and Arran Aromatics knows exactly how to help you feel relaxed and rejuvenated.

I tried the Lavender Facial gel wash {similar} and thanks to my laziness, I  discovered the rejuvenating properties of the gel wash cleanser. Instead of using wipes to remove my make-up I just washed it off using the lavender facial gel wash and I was really surprised at how good my skin felt. I did not experience that feeling of clogged pores instead my face felt fresh, smooth but unfortunately or fortunately felt very tight too. I felt like I just had a temporary botox without the injections though this precipitated as soon as I moisturised.

Prior to receiving the Arran Aromatics product in my monthly Beauteco subscription box, I had not heard of the brand before but a quick read and I was happy to try the product. Those who know me know that I am a sucker for lavender-infused products and that night after work I decided to try Arran Aromatics’ products.

What Does Arran Aromatics Lavender Facial Gel Wash Contain?

Among other elements, this product contains anti-bacterial tea tree oil ~ to cleanse and tone your skin! lavender essential oil used for its antiseptic and rejuvenating properties. It also contains loofah to gently deep cleanse and exfoliate your skin and combat spots.

WHAT COLOUR IS IT?

It’s green with some white colour flakes, these flakes dissolve once you apply this on your face.

HOW OFTEN DO TOU NEED TO USE IT?

I would recommend twice daily and use with a moisturiser like simple as am not sure if Arran Aromatics make a moisturiser to go with this product. I use simple because it contains nothing that can make my skin react because am using a different product from it.

WHAT DOES IT SMELL LIKE?

Obviously lavender but I smell a hint of mint too.

WHAT SKIN TYPE CAN USE THIS PRODUCT?

I think any skin type can use this product because it contains the good stuff like lavender and tea tree oil. Unless your allergic to things like benzoic acid then I would check with my dermatologist.

IS IT VALUE FOR MONEY?

I think for how it made my skin feel after only a few days of use I would say yes but then again I got mine as part of the Beauteco subscription. It came in a 100ml bottle and have been using it for a week now and I think have got another 2 weeks in it before it’s finished. I don’t use too much just enough to fit your pinky is enough for your face or two pinkies if you prefer.

Honestly I do believe that this is a great product to have as part of your skincare routine, I only use it at night because then my pores are open and rejuvenated and will stay fresh till the morning when I use Simple kind to skin products to just wash off the sweat at whatever.
