Looking back at each decade, I feel both ‘older’ and ‘younger’, I see the change in my features, the change in my way of life, the change in my personality and the experience itched on my face. I am grateful for the life I have lived thus far and excited for the life I am yet to live.
••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••

2026 - 39, (Home, England), I am ready for this final year before my 40s but also ready for this next decade.
2016 - 29, (Oslo, Norway), this decade was about self discovery and building the life I dreamt about. The life that I am super proud of and truly grateful to be living. This decade, I built my financial life and in later years choose to heal from the trauma gained in the last decade and now I feel well equipped for the future.
2006 - 19, (Glasgow, Scotland), I thought I was grown (look at the cheekbones 🤣🤣) and ready for the world, chiiiild was I wrong, let’s just say, I am still resolving the trauma the decade brought me but I am grateful because I met my best friends and made decisions for the future I wanted to have. (Spoiler alert - I did better than I dreamed).
1996 - 9, (Home, Zambia) this was my birthday but my little sister insisted she had to be the one in the middle. The only way we knew whose birthday it was, was by standing in the middle but this year I remember baby sister crying her eyes out and refusing 🤨
1988 - 9 months, (Chililabombwe, Zambia) although my mother looks tired and traumatised😟, I know I was loved and happy.

Bucketlist in Review ~ Life Edit 2

Life edit 2

Life Edit 2 ~ Bucketlist in review

It’s been over six months now since I last gave an update of the Life Edit {1} of my 30B430 Bucketlist. I have mentioned before that my bucketlist is split into two parts. The Life Edit and the Travel Edit ~ which I updated you on last month {read it again}. As I look to the new year and think of a new bucketlist I want to put together, I figured let me see what I have already accomplished. There is no point putting new plans in place before you assess where you are with current plans. So let’s see what I have managed to achieve {in 2016} then discuss what’s to be accomplished before July 7.

The Life Edit 2 ~ Accomplishments

  • Buy or start Renting my own place – Still not bought but I have been renting for over a year now and since my credit score will be back up in few months time I will start thinking about a mortgage.
  • Face one of my fears – though fear of heights will still be there I have found a way to manage it.
  • Go to Disney Paris – I took myself to Disneyland Paris over the summer holidays. {Read HERE and HERE}
  • Visit the States – I managed to visit New York October 2015. Hoping to visit another area in a few years time.
  • Go hiking or camping – I hiked (ish) in Korea and went Glamping in Slovenia with Big Berry lifestyle resort.
  • Visit a winery – I visited a small one whilst in Slovenia. I didn’t mention how big the winery had to be just that it was a visit to a winery lol.

The Life Edit ~ In motion

  • Buying my own place.  My credit score has improved massively and want to give it a couple more months before applying for mortgage. I am also working on saving up for my deposit for the house.
  • Learn how to drive. I am still learning how to drive, I passed my theory now just practical to do.
  • Buy a car: I am looking at a few cars at the moment but need to just get something to move me from A to B.
  • Attend a concert (either O2 arena or Wembley). My sister and I are heading to Birmingham end of January for a concert, this will be my first ever concert.

The Life Edit 2 ~ To be planned

  • Run a race for life
  • Do a 30 days challenge and complete it.
  • Take boo to Zambia/Malawi ~ Void
  • Visit the Victoria Falls
  • Take a cooking or baking class
  • Watch a musical or attend a theatre

As you can see I have lots to get done in 2017 before July 7, whether I will manage to complete this bucketlist it’s not clear atm. I am hoping that I will make a proper dent into it if I can not complete all this before my self-appointed due date. Setting a bucketlist maybe something in trend currently especially Travel Bucketlist but it needn’t be only for show but something you want to accomplish. There are many things that I want to do but for now I will settle for what I have on my two bucketlists and then work around that.

Do you have a bucketlist? why did you put on together?

It’s so nice that you’ve planned everything. You don’t have to pressure yourself to complete all of them but it’s nice to have goals to motivate you to keep moving! I hope you’re able to complete them or at least most of them before July of next year!

I haven’t really put together a bucket list. I do have a small list of places I want to visit though. I love the idea of creating a yearly bucket list and then seeing how much you’ve accomplished.
