Looking back at each decade, I feel both ‘older’ and ‘younger’, I see the change in my features, the change in my way of life, the change in my personality and the experience itched on my face. I am grateful for the life I have lived thus far and excited for the life I am yet to live.

2026 - 39, (Home, England), I am ready for this final year before my 40s but also ready for this next decade.
2016 - 29, (Oslo, Norway), this decade was about self discovery and building the life I dreamt about. The life that I am super proud of and truly grateful to be living. This decade, I built my financial life and in later years choose to heal from the trauma gained in the last decade and now I feel well equipped for the future.
2006 - 19, (Glasgow, Scotland), I thought I was grown (look at the cheekbones 🤣🤣) and ready for the world, chiiiild was I wrong, let’s just say, I am still resolving the trauma the decade brought me but I am grateful because I met my best friends and made decisions for the future I wanted to have. (Spoiler alert - I did better than I dreamed).
1996 - 9, (Home, Zambia) this was my birthday but my little sister insisted she had to be the one in the middle. The only way we knew whose birthday it was, was by standing in the middle but this year I remember baby sister crying her eyes out and refusing 🤨
1988 - 9 months, (Chililabombwe, Zambia) although my mother looks tired and traumatised😟, I know I was loved and happy.

Prince's trust foundation
Contents of the goodies bags!! 1. Boogle – bear on the left 2. Teddy – bear on the right 3. Earrings, necklaces and bungles from Claire’s  4. Body glitter 5. Fashion vouchers.
The Prince’s Trust Foundation has been around since 1976 helping young people have better prospects. Specifically people between ages of 11 – 30 who are struggling with school or finding work. Last week Wednesday {04-Dec-2013} I had the pleasure of attending a charity event hosted by etailPR. It is an experience I will not be forgetting anytime soon, it was nice meeting bloggers and the PR people. Though I did not stay the entire night my guest and I got goodie bags which contained what you can see in the pictures above.

Princes Trust Foundation ~ The only way is Love Charity Event

So let me relay to you guys how it went down last week. It’s 18:45 and I am already at the venue, I check the time and look at the address again am thinking this can’t be right. There is no one outside so I decided to check inside in case I had gotten the wrong date. I got in and am told it’s the right date and right venue but I am early am thinking only by 15 minutes. I figured because it was for the Princes Trust Foundation folks would be early and queuing up already.

So I enter the venue and sit at the bar in a high chair, the bar man entices me to try a lovely cocktail.  For someone working the following day was too strong so I opt for the virgin version. I am enjoying my drink, I look around and see Lip Couture these ladies are from Liverpool. They are friendly and fun and they took me in and we behaved like we were best friends. In the process I also met another wonderful person, Rusdy or as I like to call him rusty dusty and other wonderful people too.

The Only Way is Essex

Part of the enticement to attend this event was not only to support a good cause but see Jasmine and Dan Osbourne. Though I do not actually watch the only way is Essex, I do know who these two people are. Both were just amazing, humble and down to earth and agreed to take pictures with us. After that we had dinner which was lovely though too long to be served to us. We then enjoyed a catwalk by some models, some lovely pieces were shared but for me a floral jumpsuit just had me hooked. Over all the party was alright, the atmosphere was great and I had fun.

It always feels good to give back, that’s why i prefer shopping events for charity. It is more fun and shopping more meaningful.
