East London Markets| Must Visit Markets

London is a city full of diversity and cultural all knotted into one incredible destination. Having spent most of October in East London, I found myself loving the various markets. I would quite happily sacrifice a hangover to venture early into London to visit the East London Markets. Because of that, I thought I share five East London Markets that I enjoyed visiting.

There is no better way to experience different cultures, learn of their and tradition at a market. East London Markets, like other markets, offer more than just a taste of different world regions. At these markets, you get a chance to learn about another culture other than your own. In this article we hope to highlight some of our variety East London Markets and what to expect.

East London Markets| The Top 5

Whether you want to find somewhere new to explore or want to sample foods from all over, weekend markets are the best. Last month we found ourselves spend loads of time in East London due to various blogging appointments. We thought it would be a good idea to explore East London Markets and check out that they offered.

Hackney flea market

Hackney Flea market opens once a month in Stock Newington on Church street. It is your one-stop market for everything vintage, antiquities, fabrics and much more. What we loved it that it also has homemade food stands with live music beating away. It also hosts various events and has a DIY shop which stocks products made by the community.

Brick Lane Market

One of the most popular markets in East London and is a hot spot for locals and visitors alike. It is your one-stop shop for culture, art, music and food and is open every day. Frequent visitors always end up venturing to the Boiler House for some incredible foods and Old Truman Brewery. Brick Lane Market is located in Shoreditch, a town with so much to offer.

Old Spitalfields Market

One of my favourite markets, its closest station is Liverpool Street and is open 7-days a week. We love just how instagrammable old *Spitalfields is and the variety it offers. At this market, you can find anything from clothes to food and artwork. 

Netil Market

This market is located near London fields station and is the creation of the local community. It opens throughout the week but is much quieter than other markets in East London. At this market you can find vintage fashions, street food as well as crafty stalls from permanent traders.

Broadway Market

Broadway market has earned itself a reputation as the gourmet central of all food markets in London. Located near London Bridge and not too far from the Netil market, its the place to be. Its been home to traders since 1890s and was relaunched back in 2004 plus opens every Saturday.

All of these markets are unique and absolutely make the face of East London. It hasn’t always had the best reputation but over the years, it has been the place to be. One of our favourite hotels, The East London hotel is located there.
