Booking a one night spa break in Yorkshire is so high on my list I am ready to book like yesterday. Having family and friends who live in and around Yorkshire has inspired me to think about possibly one night spa breaks in Yorkshire and there is a great selection to choose from. As a traveller being stuck indoors has brought the feeling of cabin fever but everyone is enduring the same thing so I have to relegate my wish of travelling to daydreaming about relaxing at a spa with a mimosa in hand.
Although its impossible to predict when this will all end, I am still excited to be planning and searching for a one night spa break in Yorkshire. Yorkshire has been o my local bucket list for the longest time so as part of my 21 things I want to do this year, I am adding Yorkshire back as one of the top places I want to visit. I can not wait to visit the York Minister Cathedral, Castle Howard and many more. One of the most exciting things is actually planning the trip and putting together an itinerary.

Booking a One Night Spa Break in Yorkshire
Over the last few weeks, I have been sharing tips on ways to squeeze some self-care time during a busy week including ways to reduce stress and how you can unwind on a Sunday. Whilst I am still sticking to these tips and I am practising them, it doesn’t mean I don’t long for a one night spa break in Yorkshire or somewhere local to me for when things calm down and spas open again.
But before then, all we can do is daydream about the long forgotten past when there was no pandemic and wish we could go back to happier and safer times. My one wish for this year is not to spend another birthday in lockdown because even though I am more than happy to spend it alone, I want to see my family and celebrate this milestone with them as I have not seen them for a while now. I am also looking forward to not only travelling abroad but exploring more of my local area which I have neglected for far too long.
Tips to consider when booking a Spa
- Know your price range – spas can be expensive so its important to know your budget
- Know what kind of spa weekend you are after – is it to relax and get some treatment or just being in the spa?
- Read reviews on the spas you wish to visit and familiarise yourself with what each spa is offering.
- Is the Spa part of a hotel or just a spa? If part of hotel then book a night stay there and use the spa complimentary and just pay for treatments.

Places you can Visit in Yorkshire
Whilst the spending a night in a spa in Yorkshire will be the highlight of my trip, there are so many things I want to see, places I want to eat at and locations I just can’t wait to explore. As a traveller, I have this one rule whereby I research the 5 top places to visit in that location and then the rest I either live it up to chance or book a local tour guide who has the inside scoop. Our visit to Yorkshire will be no different, I have 5 places high on my list and the rest we have family to show us around.
The top 5 places I definitely want to see when we are allowed to travel again in Yorkshire are:
- Sherwood Forest – something about being cooped up indoors making me want to me the outdoors the first place to hit up.
- Clifford’s Tower – another outdoor adventure that I am looking forward to.
- York Minister – because it would be a shame not to visit
- Shambles- because everyone just has to visit
- Museums – my true passions is visiting as many museums as I possibly can.
Whilst doing in research, I found this comprehensive post on everything to do in Yorkshire and I am in love. I want to explore all these places and more but I also want a reason to keep returning to this place. I am so excited to plan this trip I am even forgetting about visiting my friends and family lol. When it is safe to do so, I am sure we lot of us have a long list of places to explore, thing we want to do and people we want to see being high on the list.
When was the last time you visited a Spa? We last went for mum’s birthday the couple years back and now need to make sure that we visit them more often.

Good on you! I so miss going to a spa. As of this point, I am still very cautious about going to a spa or getting a massage. It’s already actually badly needed.

This is such a great recommendation, sometimes you really do need to step back and care for yourself! Self care is the best care, and if its a spa day count me in!

We can’t wait for the UK to open up again and we can travel freely. We have relatives in Yorkshire and would love to do something like this with them when visiting!

I have to admit I would really love to go on a spa break sometime. I could definitely do with the pick me up they bring to you. These are some great tips as well for making sure you pick the right spa.
